Brake pads change on service - Red steel?

coming up to service time - getting quotes and saw the below. I have the red steel ones. Pads have plenty of material left.

I thought the below was for the yellow ones.

Unfortunately brakepad replacement is on the list for 6 year service on the steel brakes as well

1. Why do they have to be changed to maintain the warranty, even though the pads are not covered by the warranty?

2. Also why not insist they use Brembo pads instead of OEM? Brembo are about a quarter of the price and are fitted to a wide range of race cars including Porsches, so they can they legitimately object?

Why is it Porsche is supposedly superior engineered and manufactured but brake pads and accouterments need to be replaced at 6 years when a Tesla or Chevy, etc. have no age related replacement?

I’ll need to call and check. I do read somewhere that steel brakes don’t need to be changed but is recommended. The yellow ones require changing

Firstly I thought this was about "steel" brakes. However, the binders for both types of brake pads are phenol based so there should be no difference here.

It’s not $1500USD; it’s 1500 British Pounds, which is more than $2000.
