I am about 1,500 miles in and am using 26.9 kW / 100 miles so far with my 2025 Turbo. Based on my math, that is about 360 miles on a full charge.
These numbers do always seem highly tire and wheel dependent.
I have only had my 2025 Turbo for about 6 weeks, but I thought I would post some preliminary range data:
The car is currently estimating that it can go 165 miles on 48% charge. That equates to 344 miles on a full charge
During my first 100 miles, the state of charge went down 25%. That equates...
I do think noise is closely tied to tires. Never really thought about the roof. I find my 2025 a little quieter than my 2020. I have 20" wheels, Conti tires, and pano roof on the 2025 just like I had on the 2020. The electric gear noise is a little different on my 2025. I kind of liked the gear...
On a related note, I pulled into the dealership early this morning and charged with their free L2 charger while I was waiting for service to open up. After a bit the service advisor came out and started to ask me what car I had. As he walked around to the back, he realized it was a Taycan. It...
All and all the car has been great, but in many ways it isn't that different. I went from a 4S to a Turbo so there is a big power difference. Also, the PCM is much smoother and I gained Android Auto which I didn't have in my 4S back in 2020. Otherwise, very similar car.
Do you see this on the main display with the regen light? I got a MY 2025 a month ago and haven't seen the regen light come on yet. I have about 450 miles on the car so it may not be active yet.
I had Gentian Blue on my 2020 Taycan and went Volcano Grey on my 2025 which I picked up about a month ago. Overall I like Gentian Blue better. It is so cool the way it looks different in different lights. However, I opted for Volcano this time because I was looking for something that wouldn't...
If nothing else, Electrify America is getting more tested every day as EVs come more and more into the mainstream. I regularly drive by several EA stations, and they are getting pretty busy. For example, there is one location near me (outside a Super Target and a Costco) where there are always...
Difference between 2020 4S and 2025 Turbo in terms of power is huge. As others have mentioned here, the 2025 Turbo is insanely quick and you have to be very careful with all that power.
I went from a 2020 4S to a 2025 Turbo ten days ago. I have driven 100 miles and state of charge is down only 25%. If I understand correctly, the car doesn't even use regen the first 500 miles. If that energy usage holds, it will be a big range boost.
I just picked up my 2025 Turbo today. I had a 2020 4S, but sold it 2 1/2 years ago when prices were high.
Overall the car feels very familiar. The PCM does seem way smoother than my 4s. I haven't driven it enough to validate the range. The power difference between the 4S and the Turbo is huge...
300 miles of range in warmer weather equates to 200-225 when the weather gets really cold (0F or colder). I do a fair number of trips in the 175 to 200 mile range so I will take any range I can.
Taycan was my ski car so it was in the snow and cold all the time. What type of damage are you worried about? The only thing I dealt with was extra chips from snowplows throwing down sand / gravel.
I just placed an order for a 2025 Turbo. (I had a 2020 4S previously.) For me the extra range was appealing. I do one trip in particular that is on the edge of the current Taycans' range, and the charging infrastructure on the trip is very limited.
I also was hoping that the new cars will...
