    Considered J1.2, Did it!

That’s a nothingburger of the highest order. Try harder, seriously.

    NEVI Suspension

Speaking of NEVI: https://electrek.co/2025/12/22/pennsylvania-turnpike-opens-its-first-federally-funded-ev-chargers/ I didn't realize that installations were actually continuing.....?

EV's vs PHEV's - what makes sense in the next 10 years?

I never insulted you. The fact that you’re citing J.D Power as an “authority” is further evidence that there’s no point in continuing to engage with you on this.

EV's vs PHEV's - what makes sense in the next 10 years?

I’m still thinking you must be trolling, but even if you aren’t, there’s clearly no point in continuing this discussion with you… Enjoy your car(s)..

EV's vs PHEV's - what makes sense in the next 10 years?

You’re trolling, right? Because you can’t possibly be serious…

EV's vs PHEV's - what makes sense in the next 10 years?

Actually, an ICE is 10-50x more complex than an electric motor...

Tayberius III First Voyage - Comparing J1 and J1.2

IF your EV can take advantage of 350KW charging AND there's a convenient location AND there's no line of cars waiting, then of course non-Tesla DCFC makes the most sense. That said, being able to use Superchargers when the above conditions aren't met is a huge benefit, IMO.

We should not complain - Lucid Owners have the worst of it (Engineering Explained regrets purchase)

As much as I respect Lucid’s innovation and efficiency, I can’t bring myself to seriously consider buying one because it’s tough to see how they can survive. And yes, I’m aware that similar things were said about Amazon and Tesla way back when…

We should not complain - Lucid Owners have the worst of it (Engineering Explained regrets purchase)

Very, and I’m done. Back on topic, Lucid’s software does indeed seem to be riddled with glitches.

We should not complain - Lucid Owners have the worst of it (Engineering Explained regrets purchase)

Got it - you want concept-car looks. I can only think of a couple of fairly recent cars that looked just about exactly like the concepts when they actually made it into production: -The original Audi TT -The Fisker Karma But as you know, generally concept-car designs are altered to make...

We should not complain - Lucid Owners have the worst of it (Engineering Explained regrets purchase)

It’s almost shocking that you don’t see that title for what it is: Pure clickbait BS. That car is the long-rumored Tesla Roadster, the design of which has been public knowledge for at least 7 years… OTOH, you might actually be able to buy the Roadster at some point in the next couple of...

We should not complain - Lucid Owners have the worst of it (Engineering Explained regrets purchase)

I’d argue that Tesla and Rivian have mostly gotten SDV development right, and everyone else has gotten it wrong in varying degrees.

We should not complain - Lucid Owners have the worst of it (Engineering Explained regrets purchase)

Brutal software issues, proving that even in the age of SDVs, building cars is really hard!

Tayberius III First Voyage - Comparing J1 and J1.2

Neglected to say: holding 260KW up to ~70% SOC is amazing! Did you time that EA session by any chance? Our GV60P charges really fast too, holding 130KW up to about 80%. That means that it’s usually about done charging before we’ve completed our potty break and stretched our legs, but the new...

I must have missed the post where you mentioned the car’s location. Not far from me, either. The trip back will be a great way to get to know the car - safe travels!

    First Charge at Tesla Supercharger

Unless your car includes the 400V/150KW option, 50KW is the max possible on a Supercharger.
