It should be, but it isn't, and the only way you wouldn't know that is if you've been avoiding reading all the range- and charging-related threads here and on RL...
If the charger where you stopped was 400V, and you don't have the 150kW/400V charger option, then 50KW is the best you could have...
Sounds like it's really the 158 days in the shop that really are the problem, which is certainly understandable.
Since you've been an EV owner for at least a few years, and on this board for at least 7, it's very suprising that you wouldn't have used ABRP or some other method to check your trip...
We no longer have a free/included plan.
It's probably is worth mentioning that all that free/included charging is a big factor in EA's limited availability in more populous areas. That and the fact that so many EA stations are tiny - like 4-8 stalls.
Resurrecting an old thread, just because the title still applies much of the time… 🙄
SWMBO drove to Santa Barbara CA from LaQuinta, CA for a weekend getaway. Here’s how that went:
On the outbound trip, she charged at the Glendale Fashion Center Tesla Supercharger. 16 stalls in total, 8 open...
Its actually “Charge your other EV”, and it’s accessed by hitting the “hamburger” at the upper right of the Tesla App Home Screen and then scrolling all the way down…
As an S Plaid owner, this makes me sad.
As @daveo4EV said, it’s a compelling package overall - far from perfect, but does most everything very well.
In the US, this also means that the cost of a new car with Plaid-equaling performance will be DOUBLE going forward - ugh.
Here’s hoping that...
This discussion has been primarily about Porsche’s current and apparent future financial difficulties, making any related discussion about its buyers’ supposed affluence even more ironic…
The Highland 3P actually does everything at a very high level - speed, handling, comfort, convenience, practicality, quietness…
It’s not hobbled by a lack of refinement like Corvettes have always been in relation to 911s.
In any case, the 3P was only the harbinger of things to come, as it’s...
In related news, Canada just opened the door to its auto market to Chinese cars by dramatically lowering its previous punitive tariffs.
It’s hard not to see that as a result of the current US administration’s policy moves, and it will likely further erode Porsche NA’s options for growth and...
If anything, it's likely to steepen the Taycan's depreciation curve, since it should feature Taycan Turbo/Turbo GT performance and European pedigree for 50% less $$$.
At first glance, that looks to be the most direct evidence of pork-barrel spending that I’ve ever seen.
What am I missing? Is it indeed an inspirational space that will be the driver of dramatic new development that will benefit the larger area, as the assembled pols seemed to say?
What am I missing here? What's the point of building a charging station and then not supporting it or ensuring that it actually works?
Out of curiosity, where is this site located?
25 stops seems a bit high, but not necessarily unrealistic depending on the specific Tesla.
ABRP suggests 18 stops for my Tesla between Venice, CA and Hilton Head SC. 🤷♂️
Realistically this would be a 3-day trip for most people, so even in an ICEV you’d probably be looking at at least 6-8 stops…
