    Motor Control Error Fix (2021)

Interestingly some cars (mine included) have already had their DME and Power Electronics modules updated after WMA5 so I don't know why they have to wait till June 28th. Maybe they expect a newer version? Who knows.

Update 3: Porsche jabbing brakes and stopping [Driver Control required!] while not in Innodrive/ACC/ALK

I think his car has been at PC for days if not weeks without a resolution. Also these types of bugs with yellow or white warning messages do not leave error codes. I also have issues like "ParkAssist Unavailable - Service Required" and the PC cannot find any logs or error codes. As a result the...

What can be added through OTA over-the-air upgrades

Electric Sport Sound cannot be added as a software option because it requires hardware. It can be retroffited but that requires both software and hardware installation as described in this doc https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10183502-0001.pdf I also expect it to be expensive.

Update 3: Porsche jabbing brakes and stopping [Driver Control required!] while not in Innodrive/ACC/ALK

Probably not related, but did you have Auto Recuperation on? I think it sometimes break the car out of nowhere. It sounds like the sensor for hands-on-the-steering-wheel has a problem in your car.

    Are my reliability worries misplaced?

The OP is in the UK so I don't think he cares about the EA or the 19kw onboard-charger. However, you can see that new features (i.e. 19kw option in the US nullifies plug&charge) and future software updates (i.e. WMA5) can introduce bugs. If you are too concerned about bugs try to avoid new...

    Are my reliability worries misplaced?

35 is the number of complaints for automotive power loss. It does not include all other issues. The assumption that things improve over time is reasonable but at least based on reported issues in this forum it looks like issues are becoming more severe and at least as frequent. For example...

    MY2022 Taycan Changes. [What's New]

In that case I would buy a CT to exit from the trunk :). I would not trust Porsche software to manouver my car in tight spaces and I would save myself the frustration of having to use the app..

    Dealing with electric car fires

Many governments (local or federal) are pushing for car electrification but the infrastructure (power grid, charging network, fire departments) is not ready for it. The other area that will soon become a problem is the disposal/recycling of old batteries. I don't think there is any...

Child seat for eight year old for Taycan and 911

I don't have a specific recommendation but I think any quality booster seat would be ok for the Taycan. I have a convertible seat for a younger kid, and the heardrest at max height would almost touch the glass roof. So if you buy a booster seat with a hearrest check first if it fits vertically...

PCM 6.0 Announcement - Coming to the Taycan soon?

I don't need the PCM to run machine learning algorithms to predict what I am going to do. I just want all basic functionalities to work as expected.
