I'll see your 2013 Model S ownership and raise you one year. I owned #43 Model S P85 off the line in 2012. Tesla's infotainment system and support for vehicle OTA updates was in 2012 ahead of where Porsche is today 8 years later. Tesla for the win on technology.
Tesla may also have a win on...
Not sure I buy the motor theory. I'd lean towards brakes if you don't have the PSCB package. I had this same issue with the Tesla Model S. The rotors and pads see very little use so they oxidize, especially after usage in wet weather. When driving (even when coasting or accelerating) the rotors...
The car does need a cellular connection to get the initial provisioning change indication. I was also told that if you factory reset the PCM or do a 12V disconnect, to only do that in an area with good cell connection.
Regardless of the active/enabled driver assist features, the driver attention warnings begin after the steering system does not detect sufficient driver input after a time interval. I believe the sequence is this:
1st warning - red steering wheel icon at bottom of instrument cluster
2nd warning...
I have noticed the transmission shift seems to feel like anything from a subtle clunk to a subtle grind, depending on the acceleration at the time. Harder acceleration seems to result in more of a crisp (clunk) feel, and softer acceleration seems to result in more of a stutter feel. Neither...
I do the same, though for daily driving I prefer the Sport chassis setting to the Sport + chassis. Maybe your roads are better maintained. I also have found I prefer regen on, so really for me the steering wheel switch between Sport + and individual is just changing the suspension tuning. But...
What you want is Eco Plus (disables AC compressor). You may need to be in Sport Plus for that to be an option, though you can also configure Eco Plus as the AC mode for range mode.
The only thing I didn't like about auto was the car slowing down when I didn't expect it to - not to say it shouldn't have been slowing down - just that it was unexpected and therefore undesirable. The good news is that if you don't like auto you don't have to use it. If you do, you can.
IIRC there is also a 3-dot menu option to configure the allowed minimum SOC at your arrival. Set that low enough and it should skip a charge along the route if doing so would allow you to make it home with your now lowered minimum SOC.
@cgfrndpor nailed it. Recuperation is always used when slowing down. The hydraulic brakes don't activate until you are pressing hard on the pedal or the car's speed has gone below about 5 MPH. The recuperation settings on/auto only control how much recuperation is applied when you lift off of...
Could possibly be that the IP address range your home WiFi / router is assigning to the PMCC conflicts with one it is using internally. If not something like 192.168.X.X, that could cause an issue. You may have to change the addressing for your home network which would be a pain in the ass...
Cooling flap position implausible fault in the brake electronics: Is the brake cooling integrated with or separate from the battery and AC cooling loop?
So the cord (in an enclosure) is basically a nice big resistive heating element in a confined space with another heat-producing and heat sensitive device (PMCC). Sounds like a great idea. Not to mention the wasted $ for that heat. I've been charging at 32A and I don't have the enclosure so...
True - the underlying hardware/limitations were there before the update, and the performance changed with the update. Some say for the better. Some say for the worse.
One Porsche dealership in VA had a 50 kW charger, needed a sales person to activate it, but they were happy to do so. I actually haven't checked any of the three local dealerships in the Raleigh/Durham area. Or VW... or Audi...
