  1. CHALK Taycan Club

Not my car (wish it was) but I went to check out a 4CT in Chalk in person. And boy does it look good. I was debating between Chalk and a few more colors and now I'm totally set. Chalk it is.
  2. Bentley EV 0-60 in 1.5!

This actually makes me wonder: is 0-60 in 2s pretty much the best Tesla can do right now, or is it after cost/price was taken into consideration? The fact that Roadster is not necessarily faster than Plaid makes me lean towards the former?
  3. "June 2023 delivery expected if ordering today". How much can I trust it?

Thank you all for your comments and feedback. I'm not in a hurry and would happily wait for a bit at this point. My Macan GTS is not a Taycan but is perfectly fine for now :) I probably won't put down another deposit at any local dealership, and will try to find 1 or 2 out of state dealers with...
  4. "June 2023 delivery expected if ordering today". How much can I trust it?

Good for you. Maybe the market has become hotter since then, or maybe I don't have a previous relationship with them. Anyway they actually refused to remove the bike/watch requirement after I told them I was able to find other dealers that would honor MSRP and I'm not that desperate.
  5. "June 2023 delivery expected if ordering today". How much can I trust it?

As I said, they've been ignoring this question for some reason. Marin told me they don't charge markup but requires purchase of a bike or a watch, which I thought was bullshit so didn't pursue further. The dealership where I've put down $5k as I described in my original post was Stevens Creek...
  6. "June 2023 delivery expected if ordering today". How much can I trust it?

Makes sense and I understand waitlist length goes hand in hand with # of allocations a dealership gets. I guess I was just looking for a ballpark number. For example one dealer told me they currently don't have a single person waiting for a 4CT, which makes me think there's a decent chance for...
  7. "June 2023 delivery expected if ordering today". How much can I trust it?

Good point! Didn't think about potential refresh at all.
  8. "June 2023 delivery expected if ordering today". How much can I trust it?

Yes I'm aware of Porsche's order process and am 99% sure it's just a waiting list and not an actual allocation (does Porsche even give out allocations this far out in the future?). It just seems an arbitrary date and they've been ignoring my question about how many people are already on the...
  9. "June 2023 delivery expected if ordering today". How much can I trust it?

This is regarding a Taycan 4 CT and "ordering" means putting down a $5k refundable deposit. No markup btw. Dealer is in NorCal. I wonder if they just randomly came up with this date because nobody seems to know what Taycan allocation/production will look like in the next 12 months, or they...
  10. What's a reasonable non-refundable deposit?

    What's the estimated delivery date?
  11. Moving away from 4s to 911

This. Would be helpful to know what the issues were and whether other owners have experienced similar issues.
  12. Cross shopping w Lucid

Given people are complaining Tesla having harsh rides/bad QC, Lucid being too new and unknown, Taycan's waiting list being too long, I'm surprised that nobody has brought up the MB EQS. Is it too ugly to even be mentioned? ?
  13. Closest dealer with a CT to test drive is more than 300 miles away

Huge shoutout to Nick, aka Greenmachine, who was nice enough to not only show me his beautiful Mamba Green 4 CT, but also give me a ride (a lot more intense than what I was expecting and my own test drive lol)! Now finger crossed that I don't need to wait too long for an allocation!
  14. Taycan is One Of Top 15 Used Cars More Expensive Than New

Shouldn't 911 also be on this list?
  15. Rented a Model Y

Wow I didn't know you can rent Teslas from these traditional car renting companies now. Was cost similar to renting an ICE car in the same price range ($50k - $60k)?
  16. Closest dealer with a CT to test drive is more than 300 miles away

No worries and appreciate it man!
  17. Closest dealer with a CT to test drive is more than 300 miles away

Thank you all. Appreciate the responses. I'll still try to get my hands on a CT but if I couldn't I'll just go order one.
  18. Closest dealer with a CT to test drive is more than 300 miles away

Pretty sure I want a CT but still want to check out one in person and test drive it, especially to feel the default height difference as well as the back seats/trunk. Have test driven a RWD and a 4S sedan. Have other people done this (ordering a CT having only tested driven a sedan)? The other...
