Don't know about other people/dealers, I can only share that I paid a deposit and joined a local dealer's waitlist for a CT 4 allocation in May and my position on the list hasn't moved at all after two months. Now did other people pay markups to cut in line? I have no idea.

What are the advantages of after-market wheel mods over upgraded/painted wheels by Porsche? 1. More control on the exact look/style 2. Range/comfort of the 19-inch wheels 3. Could be cheaper? Anything else I missed? I never thought about going with the default 19-inch wheels and getting mods...

Don't know about Taycan, but I have it on my Macan and imagine they won't be that much different. Cell reception is definitely still usable (phone calls, web browsing, video streaming) even with the glass.

+1. Another option I can think of that requires a little bit more work is to actually post your car on various marketplaces as FEELERS and see what kind of offers you get.

Taycan is an overkill for this. The quality of a Tesla Model 3/Y is way worse than their Hyundai/Kia counterpart.
