  1. Who will receive the first MY23?

Are dealers more likely to take delivery of their spec'ed cars first? I'm already seeing MY23 cars on some dealers' websites as incoming.
  2. Introducing.... CHALKLT

Particularly curious about reasons for the "downgrade" (GTS ST to 4 CT), if you don't mind sharing :) Either way enjoy your new car!
  3. Road Trip Report: Dallas <--> Nashville

    Love these reports!
  4. Available Taycans @ Substantial Discounts!

Ah totally makes sense. Appreciate the insights!
  5. Available Taycans @ Substantial Discounts!

Out of curiosity, anything specific about RWD/east coast? Do east coast dealers get more RWD allocations for some reason?
  6. Are PTS cars worth more?

Someone in my area is selling their mahogany metallic 4S CT for 15% off while every other CT on the market is asking for over MSRP. You can't make this stuff up.
  7. "The Problem With Porsche"

I found it insightful and well put together.
  8. To RWD or 4s? That is the question...

CPO or not? If CPO that's a great deal. I've been following preowned prices and you don't really see a CPO 2020 4S offered at 20% off very often.
  9. Which one would you buy: a 2020 Turbo or a 2022 4S?

The long waitlist for a Taycan allocation has made me start looking at used markets. I mainly focus on private party ads as I find the asking prices a little bit more reasonable compared to dealers'. Right now for $135k - $140k, I can get a 2020 Turbo at 15% - 20% off MSRP, or a 2022 4S at...
  10. Taycan Turbo S Sets EV Nurburgring Record With 7:33 Lap Time

Asking the most important question: was the exterior color Chalk? ?
  11. Good Bye $7,500 tax credit!

Doesn't Model Y qualify as its MSRP is below the $80k SUV threshold? Is it not considered an SUV?
  12. Infrastructure Bill passed. I don’t think this is good.

Good point. Something worth keeping in mind.
  13. Infrastructure Bill passed. I don’t think this is good.

@whitex said it pretty well. The other thing that's not necessarily related to cost is that I'll have to settle for a dealer spec car if I want the tax credit. There have been discussions around whether signing a contract for an allocation in 2022 but taking delivery in 2023 still qualify but I...
  14. Infrastructure Bill passed. I don’t think this is good.

For a brief moment after reading this news, I thought about buying a new Taycan from a dealer's inventory before the end of 2022 just to qualify for the tax credit. However the more I think about it the more I realized the idea might not be as good as it seems. Imagine what will happen in 2023...
  15. a used taycan purchase

Looks like OP is also based in CA, where you don't get any tax credit for trade-in, meaning OP would always pay full tax on both the Turbo and the GTS. That said, OP might not care :)
  16. Kind of feeling screwed over. Placed over in Dec 2021 and still no allocation

This made me think of something that might be dumb: why don't (US) dealers advertise their available allocations on their websites, just like their inventory? Include model, trim, build freeze date and estimated delivery date. Why do we have call each of them to find out?
  17. Cross shopping w Lucid

Great write-up! Thanks for sharing. While I certainly don't blame Lucid and MB for prioritizing drag coefficient/range, I personally don't mind sacrificing a little bit of range for a better exterior. IMHO Taycan just looks way better from the outside.
  18. Ordering GTS Sport Turismo for nov 2023 delivery?

How's your experience with Stevens Creek? I have a deposit with them for a Taycan 4CT and am curious. My experience so far has been alright but it's obviously way too early to draw any conclusion.
  19. New Porsche Luxury SUV to Sit Above Cayenne (+Panamera EV!?)

Wow wasn’t expecting a Panamera EV. So Taycan/Panamera EV is basically Porsche’s version of EQE/EQS?
  20. need advice: RWD next month or GTS sometime later...

The only question I'd ask myself is that given you want an ST, does the sedan meet your space/practicality needs? If so I'd take it. Chalk is definitely a bonus at this point, as you pointed out.
