If you leave the car in lift mode, it should stay in lift mode. If you have it in a different chassis height, i.e. high, low, etc, it will all eventually settle to normal when shut down.

Since you're going down this route, id suggest using a syringe with a 18 or 20 gauge blunt tip. I find that .5mm is too narrow. Plus if it's on the face of your bumper, the tool you're looking to use will spill.
