The surround view is more useful. The front cameras turn on as a approach the wall in my garage or when I pull into a parking space with a parking stop.
I have had PPF on the majority of my cars. I would not be happy with the example in your post. Most installers use precut, computer generated templates that the installer can tweak a bit to allow them to either wrap around the edges on areas like the hood, doors, trunk or to get right up to the...
You aren’t missing much. When location did work, all it did was launch the home link screen. It did not open the garage. I now have a gate and garage on home link so location doesn’t do anything. I have homelink launch programmed on the diamond shortcut on the steering wheel.
I would not rely on the all seasons for the snow, especially the 21" tires. As mentioned above, winter tires are more important than all wheel drive. All wheel drive will do nothing to stop the car. When I lived in the Northeast almost all of my 4 season cars including my SUVs have dedicated...
I had to chuckle a bit. I didn't think that having to keep your foot on a car's brake was a bad feature. In any event the Taycan can hold at any stop regardless of the grade. Just hit the button with the big P.
I personally do not want the car to automatically lock when I exit the vehicle. If you are worried about forgetting to shut things off and draining the battery, the car will shut off after 30 minutes in Park.
I did not have any issues with my car before the update, but I had it done since there were some tweaks to the software. There are multiple threads in other parts of the forum. Here is a link to one of them:

The short answer is no it can't be done at home OTA. If it is for the software campaign despite what the letter says it will take much longer than 2 hours. The time depends on large part on the network speed at the dealership. For some it was overnight. Mine took about 6 hours (yes the...
Same here. My Aston has full PPF. The installer wrapped around the edges so there are no seams. Most of the car is in XPEL Ultimate. The hood is in the equivalent Suntek PPF because none of the other brands have self healing PPF that is wide enough to cover the hood of the Aston in one piece...
I am not sure if you can reboot the PMCC remotely (I doubt it), or read the error message remotely (probably not since the PMCC is on the wifi network at the house, not the wifi network where I was for the prior 5 weeks). This was my first time away since I had the 14-50 outlet and 50A breaker...
Thanks for organizing the get together. I'll let you know if I can make it closer to the date. I'm trying to schedule the movers so I'm not sure if I'll be in CT or GA that week.
As I mentioned, 5 weeks ago I left my car plugged into the PMCC with a profile in place to maintain the charge at 85% SOC (I also have the 12v battery on a trickle charger). I log into the Porsche Connect app remotely about every 1 or 2 days. Since I have the car on the trickle charger, I don't...
I saw @louv suggestion to use an old BMW M5 net for the Taycan since Porsche has not yet released one for our cars. https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/storage-space-under-centre-console.2328/page-3#post-32463
I bought an aftermarket BMW 5 series net on Amazon for US$23. I have the...
I did the software update. My internet radio is still working as well as XM and Apple Music and regular radio. I had to relink my Apple Music to my Apple ID.
Here is the view from eye level - line of sight. As mentioned before, the base is very easy to switch to the passenger side if you prefer. Today I was running Waze and the JBV1 app for my V1 Gen2 radar detector on the phone. It was pretty easy to read. Most of the buttons on the PCM lower...
Thank you. Most of the posts on the 911 rennlist forum recommend using 1/2 inch gaffers tape or vinyl. I discovered that it was too wide. I went down by 1/8 inch and then pulled on the vinyl to stretch it a bit to fit into the seams on the steering wheel.
