It works ok most of the time, but certainly not all the time. If a computer can't detect all of them without fault, they do expect a driver to pick up on each and every one of them, while also keeping an eye on traffic, cyclists, pedestrians ...
I always have Waze open, it also shows the...
$6300 to replace two fans, now that's just ridiculous
especially since its clearly a faulty design
The fans + shrouds can be bought new for about $2000 in total (still pretty steep, but anyway)
so $4300 in labour ... probably some 16 y.o. intern will be doing that job, no need for the master...
Maybe not 100% related but when I had my brake hoses replaced my dashcam saved a clip from "an incident" ... so I watched it and it was the tech who did 2 or 3 emergency-stops. When he got back in the workshop he asked another tech "so braking to a stop until the hazards come on and it's all...
If your car is still under Porsche warranty, you can easily extend it ... if its not longer under a Porsche warranty you can still buy extended warranty but then the car will need to be fully checked by Porsche in advance (and will cost you to have that done)
I've had my frunk open maybe 2 or 3 times and also close it by pushing on the emblem ... I can understand its not the ideal spot to put pressure on and that it most likely is better to use two hands a bit further apart to spread the force you're putting on the bonnet.
I mainly use the trunk...
what it says on mine:
Trim: 9J1.858.189.C. (if you were to buy it new, note the trim is 2 pieces, the base and that round cover that goes over the clock)
Clock: 9J1.919.203.J (there are more variations that will fit, the Porsche Design version for example is typically more expensive/harder to find)
I was very lucky and got everything I needed for just under €180 (original parts, no aftermarket)
Normal prices are more like 400-450. (undamaged/new condition, you dont want one with scratches).
Make sure you get the correct color-version for your dashboard trim, you got black, slate grey...
Defender flagging something with "!ml" at the end is often a false-positive.
If you plan to install unknown software on your main pc/laptop, you could quickly spin up a VM and install it there, disable defender if you have to, when something shady is going on, then atleast it is contained within...
just a heads up, I ordered this ENET cable ... made a new account on aliexpress (just use a different email) so you get free shipping and "new member discounts" ... cable ended up costing only €0,88 and free shipping.

Dealers don't seem to like doing software updates, they probably don't get compensated enough by Porsche HQ to perform them.
Last time my car was in for a software update (and some other recalls), I thought I'd bring my car in in the morning and pick it back up in the evening, only needing a...
I don't think there is another way, you'd need something that can "wake up" your car to get the real-time readings.
I'm on the fence about the cost, I know nothing is for free, if they include 10 years they will add it to the base-price of the car ... so even those who don't care for all those...
I like soft-close, it's what all luxury/expensive cars should have. It's like having to slam your bootlid/trunk down for it to close, even though this works perfectly fine, these days I consider that pretty basic.
A combination of soft-close and how a Tesla model X closes the driver's door when...
In Europe PB+ is still an option on the J1.2's, GTS and above get it standard (as always been the case)
Note this is for the sedan and sport turismo, the cross turismos always have the PB+
Those YouTubers who need to post thumbnails with their mouth wide open will never get a click/view from me. When such idiots pop up in my recommendations, they get an instant "do not recommend channel" from me :)
I don't have the sport chrono package, but LC works fine when in "sport" ... I get the message on the screen.
When the battery is low (like <15-20% or something) it may not work as at that point I can feel a big difference in power.
Only done a LC 2 or 3 times, it makes me feel lightheaded...
My parts from aliexpress came in today, all okay except the crimping tool was €3 junk (although it did its job eventually)
so that's the connector for the clock, a 32 pin connector with terminals (I used it to test my crimping skills and was happy to have extras when my crimp went wrong) ...
