keeping the updates going: visited the dealer, they took the seat apart.
Apparently, the issue is in the upper inflatable bladder, no retainer clips detached or anything.
Warranty solution - they have ordered the whole inner assembly with inflatable bladders, will take the seat out, strip it...
normal Taycan RWD here, small battery. Just did a 600km road trip at an average of -5 Celsius. 95% highway, 100-110 km/h. Realistically, the fully charged battery (100%) gave me 310 km of range. The climate is not on eco, no power-conserving measures whatsoever.
20-inch aero wheels, winter...
friends, here comes the situation:
Scenario: -5 Celsius outside, heading to Porsche Supercharger (up to 300kw I believe). Nav set, battery pre-heating. Arrived at 32 Celsius in the battery pack, 20% SoC. Started charging at 160kw/h, then dropped to 120kw/h upon reaching 80%. The battery...
Congrats on a new car! stormtrooper look for the win.
1 - Get a discount and a "sorry" gift from the dealer;
2 - Use the price difference to get a set of MIssion Es with a white rim;
3 - Make the city jealous :)
similar question, actually. My heater works (car manufactured summer 23), but I somehow think it should blow hot air faster than it does?
Is there a difference in heating speed between the AC eco and normal AC modes in the climate menu?
have read the whole thread really carefully. My 5 cents after doing 5k km in a summer23-built Taycan:
is it a bad car? by all means not, there is a lot to love about it. Did I expect a higher level of quality from a new Porsche (EV or not, does not matter) - by all means yes, I did. Software...
mine works by holding the closing button while the vehicle is in P.
the logic is pretty much like manually retracting and putting back the rear spoiler, you hold it.
no, don't let the dealer do it. Take it to a reputable detailing shop. Ideally, even minimize the amount of car washes at the dealer, take it to a place where they know how to hand wash.
while I am kinda happy there are no replies here (which means nobody is dealing with this stuff), will keep the thread updated in case someone ever encounters a similar issue.
In all fairness, by the way, at least half of the car owners I know would simply ignore this :)
So, an update: went...
the issue that I'm trying to tackle here is - is this "normal" or a warranty case? I really try to minimize the number of times the dealer touches the car, hence the question :)
Friends, this is a bit of a weird one, yet annoying and I'm trying to figure out whether I'm alone with this.
Car - Taycan 23 with 14-way all leather interior, done 4700 km (around 3k miles).
Issue location - the back part of the driver's seat, middle-upper left section (the one closer to the...
got a PCM update from my dealer this week, during the winter tire change. Fairly sure I was on the most recent version and they told me there is a fresh one to be flashed.
Took an hour. The car is in the EU.
to me, it is one of these rare cases when the owners of the "original" model will not be disappointed and their cars will not be made obsolete/out of date, but the buyers of the new one would still be happy.
I think it is a win-win for both existing owners and the aspiring ones.
well, that is all really helpful, thank you all for your input!
yeah, over-boost is supposed to give you an extra 50hp or so?
had the same thing, the dealer tried telling me it would be missing without a sport chrono. What bugged me was that Porsche still quotes the "over-boost" figure as a...
