OK, I missed my build slot as I'm still prevaricating over colours and options :-( I've since managed a test drive in a Gen-2 CT 4S with 21-inch CT wheels. This was quite impressive; the steering was better than on the first-gen 4S I originally drove - but didn't seem quite as sharp as a GTS...

It’s a big car and white/grey probably don’t flatter so much. Looks like Gentian Blue then… …maybe I ought to skip the deadline and spend more time colour watching. Unless one can change colours after paying the deposit?

I suppose I could always get a set of 20-inch wheels with winter tyres.

Useful feedback - thanks. I haven’t seen many of these in the wild, and the configurator is quite misleading colour wise. what do people think of Dolomite Silver? That was my original choice, but I get the impression it is a little passé now?

@prj: Would you recommend the 20-inch wheels for the GTS (ride-quality concerns) or are we better off with the 21-inch RS Spyders? I think you've suggested that the 4S + 21-inch Spyders might be a better option?

P.S., Is it heresy to prefer a GTS with leather? When I optioned the GTS interior, the configurator wouldn’t let me replace the RaceTex steering wheel with a leather one (without switching back to an all-leather interior).
