Great question! When you purchase a car from an out-of-state dealer, they typically give you a temp tag from their state. Most dealers use a third-party service to complete the registration process who then mail your plates & reg (for CA, you need to get a VIN Verification and SMOG Check for ICE...
Every Taycan is difficult right now...it might be easier to get a RWD, say, if you're on the east coast, but Taycan allocations are tough at the moment.
Open allocations, especially for GTS or GTS ST, will not be available for sometime. Best way is to submit an order demand and wait...Please PM me if you'd like to submit an order demand!
Now that it (unfortunately) seems Taycan won't qualify for the tax credit...in the off-chance you're cross-shopping Taycan with another Porsche model, perhaps an E-Hybrid, you're always welcome to PM me...My SA sometimes has open allocations / available incoming units for other models and trims...
I know of a Taycan GTS Sedan open allocation available at $15k ADM...You're welcome to PM me. This is with a different SA than the one who accepts order demands at MSRP. $15k is hefty, but some people can't/don't want to wait!
I'm 99% sure he's sold out of 2022s, but I can connect you with him to make sure. If he doesn't have an available unit, are you open to placing an order demand at MSRP with no deposit required until he has an allocation? Please PM me.
An update for the nice people watching this thread:
I think my SA is sold-out of incoming 2022 Taycans...a few became available, but at this point, it's probably best you prepare yourself for an order demand. PCNA has been tight with Taycan allocations because of production issues, but...
There’s also a 2022 Taycan Turbo Sedan available at $5k ADM…on the ground and ready to go!
Lastly, there’s an incoming 2023 Base Sedan available at MSRP…really nice spec (Mission E’s, PSCBs, Premium Pack, Variable Pano Roof, Performance Battery, & more!).
PM for build sheets! Or to place an...
Hi Everyone! Just a quick update for those following this thread — My SA is basically sold out of all Taycan allocations & incoming units (the cars I previously mentioned). He’ll accept order demands for any trim, and any Macan/Cayenne/Panamera, at MSRP. PM me for more info and timelines. An...
My thoughts on deposits for Taycans and other normal Porsches:
Should be $2.5-5k, payable via CC, and refundable up until the allocation locks. If your build is crazy high or low, perhaps $5-10k. After the car locks, I think it should be refundable upon subsequent sale of the vehicle / takeover...
Incoming Volcano/Black Taycan Base Sedan available...due to arrive in July/Aug. Being sold at MSRP! It's a MY22, so you'd save a bit on pricing (I believe price hike was ~$5k for MY23). Premium Pack & other goodies (no performance battery)...MSRP just over $97k. PM to see full build!
If you're...
One Taycan Base Sedan has landed and is available at MSRP...Cherry/Beige with Premium Pack & Performance Battery (among a few other nice options). If you're interested and need a car now, please PM me!
Quick Update: Some of the incoming Base MY22s have sold...I believe some are still available. He's still accepting order demands for any Taycan (any Porsche really)...just need to be aware of extended lead times because of all the world crises.
