What are you paying for electricity per kWh?

You win :-). The best solar generation I had this July was a bit over 100 kWh per day. Now, at this time of year, the best is 25 kWh/day, and usually much worse (10-15). But in Germany, electricity prices are nuts. In Munich, the regular enduser like me pays €0.28/kWh, which is about US$ 0.33/kWh.

    Noises driving me nuts

One source of rattle can be under the front hood. Open it up and look at the black plastic "liners" that touch the outside metal of the car sides, close before the window. One of them came lose in my car, and started vibrating at 160km/h+.

My Taycan goes flying... gearbox out of order

Hello there, the T4S is back and drives again. The official word on the fault was: "Am Getriebe war 1 Wegesensor defekt (Kurzschluss)" = "One path/position sensor at the gearbox was defect with a short circuit". Aha. In any case, I hope it will go on running and stunning ;-). Cheers, Henrik

My Taycan goes flying... gearbox out of order

The tow truck driver told me that he recently loaded a Dodge RAM onto his truck with that method. And no, no warning. It just stood in front of the garage and decided that it's gearbox is malfunctioning. I'll keep you posted. Cheers, Henrik

My Taycan goes flying... gearbox out of order

It was impossible to switch it out of "P" (parking) mode. When operating the lever, it always immediately reverted to P. And in Parking mode, it does not roll.

My Taycan goes flying... gearbox out of order

... but unfortunately, not for a good reason ("gearbox out of order"). These kind of events do erode brand loyalty.

Active Lane Keeping - Poor Experience

I have Innodrive with all bells and whistles and think it is only so-so. I hardly use it. Too many surprises.

    4S 93kW 100% range?

It is possible to reach very long ranges when driving conservatively, see attached picture of my T4S (497 km are 309 miles). It really depends on driving style, temperature, are the brakes "driven in" (the car apparently does some on-purpose braking instead of recuperating according to a...

Sport Aerowheel in black, a nice fit for my future cherrymettalic Taycan?

I have them on my blue T4S and they look good. I think with the cherry metallic they'll look veryvery good. Cheers, Henrik

    Bose or base audio system?

Hello, as feye already mentioned, I have the base system and it is one of the few gripes (next to the Connect app) that I have with the car. The base sound system just isn't good. If you are accustomed to any reasonable hifi standard, it is not good enough. If you plan to listen to music more...

    VIDEO: Taycan turbo S vs Aventador, M5 G-Power, Panamera turbo S, R8, RS6

Yes, that was very visible. 10.3X, 10.4X seconds. Like the mean but balanced machine it is.

Porsche Connect Doesn't -- no connection issue

Very true. I write software for a living and was appalled, and wrote very, very angry mails to their support address, [email protected]. Didn't bring much. Cheers, Henrik

Does the Taycan make petrol engine supercars old-fashioned or even obsolete?

Keep in mind that a fuel cell car is an electric vehicle. It just doesn't have a big battery as an energy source, but a hydrogen tank and the fuel cell. So, "from the motor up", most is the same anyway. Cheers, Henrik
