I use it mostly for a Short period of time til the cabin is warm enough when I forgot to preheat. I find it adequate, not too hot.

Not fully true. I had soft and hard crashes on 30mile trip. Soft restarts itself while hard needs a two finger reset. Hard occurs after a soft restart that fails.

Hard to understand. The J1.2 comes with its own real advantages like more efficency, the bigger battery, faster charging, maybe the new suspension. Lots of hard Engineering, very good reasons to upgrade. Nobody would upgrade just because the better PCM with subfeatures like better Charging...

Search in the Forum - probably the onboard charger fried - if it is the 22KW you will be downgraded to 11KW. Good luck

Last time I heard a Porsche service rate in germany it was 310€/h which is around 370US$/h. Still that math multiplies. Not having proper OTA is expensive.

The question is what is the difference. As far as we know the J1.2 platform is allowed to run Software revision 4360 while the J1.1 platform runs 3882 or 3885. Even if you get a J1.2 PCM it is not known what the hardware difference is nor if they install 4360 onto it. Crossing my fingers for...

Seems to be Area dependent, here in germany you‘re mostly on the good side with charging. However this is annoyingly offtopic, its about taking way too long to fix that problem.

Carfax is US only AFAIK. In germany you get the list of recalls and service stops within the repair booklet which is usually inside the glove box.

Guy’s, seriously. For a 3.5 year old car a non functioning satnav is a nono. And don‘t get me started on oems doing software development. For the cars price this is simply not ok.

The problem with the missing OTA is that every Software bugfix release means a visit to the service dealer is mandatory thus real costs occur. It would be in their own interest to solve that problem.

3G is the Solution - only little data (charge points) so it doesn‘t overwhelm the PCM 🤣
