Glad I got in when I did, then. I finally got the check a week or two ago, though in this case I was kind of glad they took a few extra days because someone broke into our mailbox just after the new year
defendershield is trying to sell product. It took me one minute to do enough of a search to make it completely clear they were full of shit. If that's your source of information, this is probably not the car for you.
"they all do that"? I'm guessing the dealer already has your money. That's not a response from a good dealership.
I had no leather problems, but my dealer threw in the clear side markers for free and had them fixed on the spot on delivery day when I pointed out the mounting wasn't quite right...
I don't like bringing up Tesla as I'd like to shut that book for good, but Tesla definitely had a limit on the number of launches you could do. That limit was removed after it became public and there was enough of an uproar.
I'm not saying Porsche definitely is doing the same, but to assume it...
FWIW, while I've only had my Taycan for a month, the only time I got any hint of 12V battery discharge was when I'd left it on the charger for an extended period. I'm not driving every day - more like once a week these days in the pandemic. I have to wonder if the 12V battery doesn't get...
Just got a notice about "Porsche Parking Plus" app, from PCNA apparently (that's how it shows up on Google Play). Anyone want to try it out? If I were in a position that I needed to use an app to find a parking spot, I probably wouldn't be driving the Porsche - I'd be too paranoid about door dings.
Fiddled with it for a bit to figure it out. Sharing for additional clarity. Thanks to @Schlarbsi and others for making it clear I even had the option :-)
Why does the USB music player, in 2020, lack gapless playback?
Does every car in the world use the same terrible media player that they snatched from some code that was posted in the 1990s?
While I would be reluctant to send documentation containing my SSN through email, I did just send them an email to confirm they'd received the paper documentation and got a response in <15 minutes, which I thought was surprisingly fast. :like:
I tried hand delivering my paperwork today but the information on the form is pre-covid. You can't get to their office as noted on the forms, but you can leave it there in the mail room in building A. I was hoping they'd be able to tell me whether I'd done all the paperwork correctly, but no...
That sounds about right. While I didn't get that precise explanation at the time, I distinctly remember the dealer requesting that I have the configuration nailed down two weeks prior to the lock date that had been give by Porsche at the time.

I don't have the three buttons, but the app did show oil levels at one point. I suspect that was before the app contacted the PCM the first time and realized it was electric because the oil level indicator is gone now :)
It's particularly strange. The PDFs they supply have drop down boxes and everything, but the instructions for filling it out explicitly say to sign it in ink and mail it or drop it off in person. Why would you go through all that trouble to make it a fillable form only to require hand...
