I’m not so sure. There is no reason why the Taycan couldn’t be designed to give its maximum power at its minimum battery voltage. Let’s be honest, 650V plus is way higher than Tesla’s 400V system and we know the power they can generate.

My GTS is noisy but my previous Taycan (4S) was not! Yes the rear inverter is different but I suspect software and the drive running at a different frequency. It makes me wonder if it has been done to aid pedestrian awareness?

My Zappi will use the solar to charge the car but if it drops below 1.5kW going to the Taycan it will trip out. So I just charge on the night rate.

I just use the Zappi2 on fast mode - no zappi timer - and use the Tycan to set the charging time. You will need to set a timer and profile.

I’m using the G-Tech glass cleaner and it’s great.

Thanks for the reply. I spoke to one of their advisors (obviously working from home) that was short on knowledge! Good to know it’s possible, although I still don’t like the supplier controlling the charging, rather than the car. Maybe my wife’s Mini goes on the ‘intelligent’ list, and the GTS...

I hope you are correct, but that’s not what Octopus told me. They said “only possible to charge a single vehicle on the approved list”. I hope I was given incorrect information. Maybe someone on the Forum will be able to enlighten us all how it will be possible?

Not so sure it’s ’great news‘. I instigated the change then to find I could only charge one of our electric cars! It appears this tariff is for a single electric car only. Had to contact Octopus to switch me back. . .

I notice the horrible noise- in colder weather - from the tyres on full lock far more than RAS!

Just wait until you clean it! Every time the hosepipe goes under the rear of the car the boot will open!!!

I‘m also a mover into a GTS and the big difference for me compared to the 4S is range! It’s a lot lower in the GTS. Yes I know it’s winter, but al the same, less than 200 miles is not what I expected. Nothing close to what Porsche say it should be. . . . .

I wouldn’t feel too bad. If mine had been delivered when built in July I had been offered 93k for mine! So Porsche messing around did cost me. . . .

Traded my 4S at Christmas and got 80k. Cost 100k. 2.5 years old.
