My main concern is resale value. I think Taycans without this option (like mine) will take a big hit on the resale market since they won't be compatible with the Tesla Supercharger network AFAIK.
Personally, I don't think I'll ever use the Tesla Supercharger network. I charge at the office for...
I generally lease my cars but, when I did the math, I felt it was financially irresponsible to lease the Taycan. The MF and residual are pretty lousy.
Interest rates are so low that can make the same payment for another 1-2 years and own the car outright. I financed my Taycan through Bank of...
This was my experience after test driving the RWD and 4S. I truly enjoyed driving both, but I ended up cancelling my RWD order and buying a certified pre-owned 4S.
To me, RWD drives like your everyday standard luxury sedan, i.e. Audi A6, BMW 540i. 4S drives like a proper sports sedan, i.e. Audi...
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I used to own an M3 Competition and I loved it. I definitely regretted selling it, but that only until I picked up my Taycan. I would do it again.
I enjoyed test driving the Taycan RWD, but I did not get that exhilarating feeling that I got while driving...
Car Key support would also be awesome.
Use your iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock and start your car, and share your car key with other people.
Our BMW X5 has this feature and it's really great that I don't have to carry a car key any more. I just have to tap my Apple Watch to the door handle...
Improve PCM user interface. The current menu system is confusing. It can also be slow at times.
Improve iPhone and Watch app. Not as feature-rich as other carmakers apps, like BMW and Tesla.
Improve rear camera. The quality and distortion is so bad; it's laughable.
Improve HUD. I passed on this...
Sorry to hear. I can't imagine getting that call—I would be furious ?
As someone who was cross-shopping the G80 M3 (I used to own an F80 M3 Competition and absolutely loved it), my advice would be to give Porsche one more chance to make things right. I've been a Bimmer fan since I was kid, but...
That's not how it works ?
Porsche may eventually release a real Taycan S [RWD] model, which is a sportier version of the standard Taycan; pushing more power to the rear wheels. Similar to the Macan vs. Macan S, or Carrera vs. Carrera S.
I don't have a lot to add here but I own a 4S with Performance Battery Plus and I'm very pleased with the range. Even with spirited driving, I can easily get 300+ miles of range—well over the EPA estimate.
Is there a reason why you would need to activate Apple Music in the PCM when you are using CarPlay?
As I understand, you only need to use Apple Music in PCM if you're not using CarPlay. It's an alternative way to play Apple Music.
I don't use it often but, when I do, it certainly adds to the experience while driving in Sport mode. It is additional sensory information that you wouldn't normally get in an electric vehicle.
Also, the kids love it. They say it sounds like a spacecraft ?
If heat rejection is a factor for you, consider that you’ll get significantly more heat rejection if you go with aftermarket tint—like ceramic or 3M Crystalline.
I’m not sure I understand the question because the question goes way beyond the Taycan and 911.
Do you want an all-electric 4-door sports sedan, or a 2-door sports car with an internal combustion engine?
This is more of a lifestyle question that no one can answer except you. Weigh the pros...
You have that completely backwards. It's Tesla that's the better car on paper; better 0-60 and 1/4 mile performance, longer range, larger charging network.
It's the intangibles that make the Taycan the better all-around EV sports sedan.
In other words, Teslas are boring. It's the perfect car...
