In the Uk at least it qualifies you for a courtesy car for the life of the car being in the shop and also jumps the exceptionally long queue to get it fixed.
None of us have the data, but the Taycan seems to be a big outlier (from empirical evidence) regarding the amount of issues and the cost of fixing things vs other (established and tested) models. This car has had a lot of recalls and we don't know what other gremlins Porsche have baked into this...
As it's a safety issue (and it is - fogging etc) you would be in your rights to get the car recovered by porsche assist. Then you get a courtesy car until it's fixed. I guess that ship may have sailed for you now, but worth remembering for future problems.
Unless it's a GT3 or something, I suspect all of the main dealers have NFI in buying cars older than 3 years and with any mileage, hence the FO bid you got. Probably not even worth asking them unless you're PXing I guess.
It very much has the feel of diesel.
Government says Diesel is great, everyone should drive a diesel car.
Loads of people switch from petrol to diesel cars.
and then....
Oh hang on it's not actually better for the environment, so we're going to totally fk you on VED, Fuel duty, Congestion and...
It might be the perfect crime, but it's still a crime.....
You clearly know your IT stuff. If the gov't(s) do come up with this sort of road pricing, there may well be some mileage (pun intended) in developing software that can detect whether a car has been clocked like this for future buyers...
Yeh, I think kazula also interfaces with enode. When I first started on ovo, it used to display an enode profile when charging in the lower screen. It stopped doing that some time ago though.
Ovo charge anytime also seems to set up random timers etc in order to control its charging. It generally does seem to work when they do it though and integration with the car is pretty respectable. Ovo uses kazula software to integrate with the car. Not sure if Octopus uses the same.
Everyone has a favourite. Just choose one of the boys and stick with him. Then you don't need to worry about car space in the fine British car. The other kid can hang with Mrs DGI in the dodgy merc.
Not wanting to highjack the octopus thread. But noticed Speuk said the charge anytime cost is going from 7p to 14p or for you switch to a monthly package. He's right unfortunately.
Anyway good comparison on the ovo options here...
Agreed. It’s baffling.
The software in the car is pretty poorly developed it seems to me (I’m not an IT bod).
So yes, people do have to do bodges and workarounds and total re-sets to get it to work properly. Maybe there is a better way, but no one at Porsche dealerships seem to have knowledge...
Nope. Mine didn’t work for months until it went into dealership. Stopped working after being underground for a few hours.
Had happened previously as well, but sorted itself out for no apparent reason.
Have you tried pulling the fuses (footwell drivers side). Take a photo of them before you...
You're in good company. It's right hand drive cars that have the terminals next to impossible to disconnect w/o taking the car to bits. Easy to access for left handers. Some others on here have been able to do it, but it's certainly felt like i was going to break that bit of housing if i applied...
