Can confirm... and have just gotten used to pressing the pedal deeper when coming to a stop.
On my daily commute, there's a residential road with a stop sign at the bottom of a steep decline... I'm getting used to the pedal travel, feeling the transition from engine braking to (PSCB) caliper...
Really enjoying my (first EV & Porsche) Taycan... but did have to get used to the brakes initially. The pedal can feel soft for me as well (not overly so).
It's most pronounced in situations where I'm coming to a stop at a steep decline. It's as if I can feel the transition from the brake pedal...
I used Car Play / Apple Maps on my iPhone in a different (ICE) car, forgetting to disable riding in an EV. The next time in the Taycan, I received the battery percentage error while using Car Play / Apple Maps. Since then, I’ve just disabled the feature. It’s most compelling, if I’m on a road...
I had a chance to test out this new nice feature this weekend on a couple hour road trip. Upgrading my iPhone was easy (as usual). Connecting the car to Apple Maps was as described through the MyPorsche app… no issues.
While I appreciate the % battery upon arrival in the Apple Maps UI, I do...
Same issue for me… comfort access option enabled; walk towards my locked car with key fob in my pocket; car unlocks and extends door handles; place my hand under handle to open; car locks and lowers handle. The only way to resolve is to (look like I don’t know what I’m doing… lol) and take the...
Delivered in April! I couldn’t help myself and went for a short initial ride after signing (back roads only!) before it was taken for tint and PPF. Delivered a week later and just wanted to share proof of having this amazing daily driver! Thanks to everyone on this forum for helping me pick out...
Just recently took delivery... and my SA recommended getting the CTEK lithium-ion trickle charger, if I plan on being away from the car for a (not explicit amount of) time. Appreciated the guidance, but still find it strange that an EV with such a large HV battery pack and can be left plugged-in...
Just took delivery and while this video may already be referenced on the forum, I followed this approach including testing the un/checking of profiles and timers to ensure my car wouldn’t charge over 85% (at least while at home, which is where I’ll be doing most my charging):
Thanks. I optioned 18-way seats (very happy with that choice!). Confirmed with my SA that builds are still not coming with electric steering column. No talk of a rebate (didn’t explicitly ask either). It’s not a big deal for me… but wanted to share my experience on the forum.
I also deselected the Comfort Entry option after one day of use… especially since the seat moved so far back that I was running against the plastic B-pillar more noticeably.
Having just taken delivery after a 13-month wait (first Porsche; first EV)… MY23 without a doubt. The car is amazing… MY24 is more expensive with no significant benefit. Get the car as soon as you can!
Just took delivery of my well-spec'd 4S... and the steering column is manual (related to supply chain?).
Not the biggest deal, but certainly takes away from comfort entry experience I've had in other vehicles.
Officially took delivery! Still haven't driven it yet, as the car is getting detailed, PPF, tint, and clear side markers straight from the dealer. Pictures and first impressions coming soon...
Mine arrived at the dealer. Picking up soon! Hopefully those on Siem Aristotle that unloaded at Davisville should be hearing from their dealer soon as well!
I just got a TYD update yesterday that my build arrived at the entry port (Davisville). Just to give you a sense of the time in the process. Hope my build is heading to the dealer next week!
Once Track Your Dream updates to having left Emden, then you can start sleuthing to which vessels (vehicle carriers) are headed to the port located near you. You can look ahead too and see which vessel you might catch as well.
A combination of searching this forum for previous deliveries in...
I'm also on the Aristotle... and it definitely feels surreal! I just keep thinking some new curveball is going to occur... the Aristotle is in the middle of the Atlantic and it's been a bit since its official position has been received. :CWL: So far so good!
Based on this post and your other forum post, with all the replacement parts, short of a new battery pack... you should almost have a new car! I hope this (last) replacement fixes the fault. Best of luck!
