My advice is to take a few extra deep breaths and don’t let the warnings get to you. Most likely there is nothing physically wrong with the car. There is a bias towards being dramatic on forums…especially when it comes to suspect issues. Many of them are phantom and simply go away with...
That will work too. They also make coatings for glass that are a bit better a resisting the abrasion that comes with normal operation. If you are going to buy it, it’s best to pick up a glass coating. If you already have a coating left over, I’d use that first.
The pro tip here is to clean your windshield thoroughly and ceramic coat it. From that point forward, never turn your wipers on without engaging the nozzles to spray cleaner on them first. This will help to remove most of the dirt and contaminates that destroy the rubber on the wipers...
Porsche had absolutely no trouble taking my money for the monthly subscription…it was frictionless. The HUGE problem here is that they should not charge for an APP to connect to the car. My view is that the APP is part of the car. In the same way that the keys come with the car, the APP...
GTS handling/dynamics isn’t just a function of a tire/wheel package….and neither is the associated comfort. Tires/wheels can influence things some though.
Best to get the right model first and use the tire/wheel choice for fine tuning of specific preferences.
I find this text string odd. All GTS models are tuned to be on the firm side….making a concession on ride equally/comfort in exchange for a modest gain in “sporty/track” driving performance. If the ride is not to the OPs liking, I would suggest going to the 4S or Turbo which better...
The key with wheels as with the rest of the Porsche options list is that there is no "best" option. Porsche very intentionally offer a wide range of choices for different tastes and use cases when it comes to options. I prioritized aesthetics over cost, noise and ride quality. I find that...
Thanks for doing this.
Dear Porsche, the Taycan (or any EV) and the App are one single item…which are part of the user experience. For chrissakes stop nickel and diming us for this.
Rant over.
I feel better already.
Taking umbrage here. As an American, I recognize that I am sitting in a glass house on a wide range of geo-political issues based purely on where I live. It sucks and I have to accept that….the US is clearly “going through some things right now”. However, I will not stand by and be accused...
For performance EVs, there is much more torque available than can be handled by a single axel. That is why they all offer 4WD. 4WD has some dynamic trade offs but Porsche is one of the best at offering RWD characteristics within a 4WD architecture.
My view is that BMW has lagged behind Porsche in driving dynamics for decades. It’s optimistic to believe that they will close the gap here but if there is anywhere that BMW would have a chance, it would be in the EV space….where both companies are still early in their journeys.
I can’t believe I have to say this but Porsche needs to start with selling prices and work backwards into the design, performance, features and reliability we seek. If these new models are much more expensive than the .1 or .2, then Houston, we have a problem.
Porsche is going to have to figure out pricing for their non sports cars. I love my 2022 CT 4S but I wouldn’t buy a new one of the same spec today….only because of price. Cars are the only item that I am willing to “waste” money on but everything has a limit.
I do all things detailing related (polishing, coating, etc) on my cars. I also have an under carriage sprayer. I spray mine with water, rinseless wash or foam soap depending on the level and type of dirt involved. I get more benefit on our ICE vehicles but enjoy doing this service on the...
