Depends on the dealer. Here in Los Angeles, one told me the deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to another Porsche (if we eventually decide we want a 911 instead of a Taycan, for instance). Another dealer said the deposit is fully refundable, no restrictions.
Never bought a car from them, but Porsche Riverside has handled the servicing of my cars for years, and I've got nothing but praise for them. If you call, ask for Henry Quezada - nicest, most helpful guy ever.
Bonus: I've gotten Panamera Sport Turismo, Boxter and even a Taycan loaners before...
I will (should!) have my non-metallic black Taycan within 7-10 days, if you can wait that long. ?
Sorry for the poor picture quality, but this is my non-metallic black Macan. I have had it for 7 years and nearly 120,000 miles. Yes, it's true that the standard black is more susceptible to...
I feel you. Have loved station wagons since childhood and would've ordered the CT in a heartbeat if it didn't come with all that plastic cladding. Even with the car painted black, just not a fan of that "quasi-rugged" look. Don't like it on the Audi Allroad or the Volvo XC-whatevers either...
Thanks, Bella. Somehow had a feeling we wouldn’t be seeing our cars this week. It’ll make the eventual arrival that much sweeter, or that’s what I keep telling myself.
Right, and isn't there an option in the actual dealer financing agreement that allows the borrower some time after the car is acquired to shop around for a better rate?
That is super sleazy. I've never heard of a policy like that before, ever. If I were you, I would put on my best "Karen" wig and ask to speak to the manager (seriously).
You ordered from Walter's Riverside, right? That is the dealership where I normally go to get my Porsches serviced, but I...
One interesting thing my SA told me is that most of the dealership’s cars are arriving far earlier than TYD estimates, many of them a month or more before they were expected. For whatever reason, our cars have fallen into the “unlucky” batch. Also not reassuring.
The Acid Green would look great on a 911, not so sure about an executive sedan like the Taycan. The darker greens (the olives, Irish green, British racing green) would be fantastic.
I secretly love Ultraviolet, too. ?
Spoke with my SA and he says there are no missing parts on my car, and there never were any missing parts or quality issues on my car. Some have those issues and some don't, according to him, but they are all delayed regardless.
No one can give me an explanation for the weeks sitting at port.
Thanks! Funny, they're only 15 minutes from me and I reached out to get a quote just the other day, but didn't get a response. Will give them another ring.
I've had the calipers on three cars painted red so far, all by the same shop. All of them turned out fantastic. Will definitely have the same done to the Taycan, which is arriving with the white PSCB calipers. Go for it!
I'm going to San Diego on the 15th for a short weekend getaway. Was really looking forward to driving the Taycan down, but at this rate maybe I should look into getting visitation with it at the port prison.
Happy to report that both Reviver plates arrived within 3 days of ordering. Put one on my Macan, will put the other on the Taycan... which was supposed to be here last week, but we won't get into that drama again.
Installation took 10 minutes, if that. Looks even better in person. Love it!
Now...
I have the 18-way in my Macan and had the 14-way in my Panamera. Ordered the Taycan with the 14-way seats.
There's a night-and-day difference between the two seat types. I am 6'2" and thin, and the 18-way seats do aggressively "hug" in a way that the 14-ways do not. They have extremely...
