I'll try to get a better recording of this, but it is happening more frequently and noticeably now. It's when I first back up or I'm making a slow left turn. I'm worried my rear diff is cooked and the spider gear on that side is getting hung up.
It's not a clicking or chattering like you would...
I had a similar issue, that took several visits to fix. My pedal would make the groaning sound described in the TSB, but then drop a bit as the car transitions from regen to friction brakes and then grab violenty. The first tried to bleed the brakes, then replaced the booster, then the master...
I should have updated this sooner, but I did eventually get this fixed, After replacing the booster and they Hyraulic unit and flushign the brakes again it finally (mostly) went away, but the pedal still drops and grabs the brake intermittentlywhen transitioning from regen to friction brakes at...
It's had to capture in a video, but I've been getting more frequent noises from what sounds like the rear diff. It seems to be mostly when moving slowly, turning and braking, so mostly when I pull into or back out of my driveway. It's very low, bassy whoah whoah kind of sound and I imagine it...
If you have standard brakes, you can fit 18" wheels. Porsche actually did it for a press drive where they fitted BF Goodrich A/Ts to go 4-wheeling with a Taycan. That said, I would be surprised if the winter tires from your model 3 are the right size fitment for the Taycan.
Yes, exactly. I actually started with your drawings, but for simplicity and ease of assembly, the fabricator went with a 90 degree bend rather than the modest bend and weld at the corners. Your's certainly looks better with the profile matching the bumper though!
I think this may be the first? I know a lot of people have been making racks that use the bike rack jacks for storage or custom bike racks, but has anyone else towed yet?
I fabricated a custom bar inspired by one of the bike rack bars posted on here, added a hitch reciever and am towing a small...
You can add me to that list. 2022 Taycan CT 4S with 17k miles. Was bringing it in to try to fix the brake issue (again, 5th visit) and the heater stopped working on the way in. They said it can be over a month to get the part.
So my car is back at Porsche again, when I last got it back from the dealer in December and it started acting up again a few days later, they said Porsche engineering suggested the replace another part. Two months later, they reached out and said they had the part and I should bring it in. Since...
So I got my car back and it's mostly better, but the pedal still shutters and I get that wierd groaning sound sometimes still when coming to a stop at low speed. The dealer said the issue is that you need "a special machine" to bleed the brakes on these cars that they don't have and without it...
I'm now on my 4th visit, which now going into a 3rd week and a total of over 5 weeks off the road and they still can't fix it. They've followed the TSB, replaced the booster and bled the brake fluid multiple times, but the pedal still drops a bit and you can hear the ABS servo activate at low...
