    Received info that Porsche will be rolling this out soon. Apparently the J1I battery production has ceased so to ensure the long term supply of spare parts for the J1I, Porsche has come up with a retrofit solution using the latest J1II HV Battery.

    What is this new software update by the way? If it causes so much problems with the charging limit, I'd like to stay away from it. My setup is fine right now (no timer and minimum charge setting at 80% stops charging without fail) so I don't want to mess it up with a software update.

    That's what I thought as well but the numbers are too consistent for it to be dependent on these possible parameters. On an 11 kW AC chargers, the max power received by the car is 10.4 kW (exactly half as the 20.8 kW received on the 22 kW AC Chargers). Seems to be a consistent 5.5% overhead.

    Just wondering what would be the reason for this. At all the 22 kW AC charger, be it my PMCC or those 22 kW AC chargers at the mall, I only get 20.8 kW. Not complaining because it’s just a 5% difference but just wondering how that works.

    Lower control arm is worn. Dealer has ordered replacement parts from Germany for me and it’s under warranty (1 year old 20k KM)
