New to me 2023 Taycan GTS ST

Beautiful! Congrats! The ST is not only beautiful but I can tell you that it is extremely practical for a family car. The 1st time we went on vacation I was surprised that I was able to fit 3 big luggages along with other stuff.

    Heater issues anyone?

I have a MY23 and the dealer changed my heater on October 2024 even though it did not fail yet. They did it proactively part of a recall. According the the dealer Porsche started fitting a new heater that is more reliable that’s why they decided to do recalls. Also they told me that Porsche...

2025 RWD vs 2022 RWD Impressions (Long and Nerdy)

Thanks for all these tests! In this context I am wondering what real effect the ECU upgrade proposed by redshift performance will actually have on the RWD. I will review further your tests to try to make sense of all of this. One small note: It would have been good to test with Sport + without...

2025 RWD vs 2022 RWD Impressions (Long and Nerdy)

I’ve seen that the Hankook are fitted on the Turbo with the new aero design 21 wheels. The rear wheels are 285mm width vs 305mm on other 21 rims. Porsche is still fitting similar tires though on the MY25 compared to previous generations for same rim sizes. However they are prioritizing the...

2025 RWD vs 2022 RWD Impressions (Long and Nerdy)

@Gru it might be interesting to plot the delivered power with and without LC. The idea is to understand when it is delivering the full 380hp/280kw and 476 hp/350kw in LC I would plot Torque + power + speed on the same graph. Thx

2025 RWD vs 2022 RWD Impressions (Long and Nerdy)

Pretty easy to distinguish. 1- I drive slowly in Normal mode and by shifting to Range mode I hear it very easily shifting to 2nd gear and I feel it as well. With the Sport sound on it is even more noticeable. 2- also my car always shifts to 2nd gear at 80 km/h even if I accelerate very softly...

2025 RWD vs 2022 RWD Impressions (Long and Nerdy)

This makes me think that the behavior we are seeing with @Gru is related to RWD models and not necessarily related to ST/CT

2025 RWD vs 2022 RWD Impressions (Long and Nerdy)

This doesn’t apply to my car, and I am guessing all RWD (at least ST) since @Gru is having the same. The only way to engage 2nd gear for me is to turn the knob to Range mode.

2025 RWD vs 2022 RWD Impressions (Long and Nerdy)

@Avantgarde does your car really drive in 2nd gear at low speed when in Normal mode? I have a MY23 and it is always in 1st gear up to 80km/h unless I put it in range mode which I never do in the city because it lowers the car. I always thought that this behavior is specific to RWD because my...

Dealership manager taking my car home

You probably have a good config and he likes the idea of going home with a beautiful car, enjoy it with a family and, show the kids a new toy ? just make sure to ask him not to change their diapers in the back seat. Ok jokes a side, if I were you I wouldn’t let anyone driving my car for that...

I am aware of one owner who did this upgarde but they never shared their results https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/redshift-performance-news-updates-secondary-ecu-in-the-mail-without-shipping-original.20277/post-347361 It is a shame as a lot of people are looking for this information...

2 years with the 4S Sport Turismo – Still in love!

ST + Gentian Blue + RS Spyder wheels, is a great choice ? Pretty hard not to stay in love, just by looking at it ? But I have to say, it is way more beautiful in real life than on the pictures as the color renders differently with the changing light.

Just returned a ‘25 RWD loaner for my ‘23 GTS…some differences

Asymmetric 3 rating for consumption is worse than Asymmetric 5. So I wouldn’t go with them if I were you. They probably proposed them because they have them in stock.

Just returned a ‘25 RWD loaner for my ‘23 GTS…some differences

The Eagle Touring are not rated very well here in EU as well. I was referring to Eagle F1 Asymetric 5

Just returned a ‘25 RWD loaner for my ‘23 GTS…some differences

FYI Asymetric 5 are the ones fitted by default on the new J 1.2 Taycan (at least for the 21 RS Spyder rims, you can check for yours). Now when someone wants a Pirelli they need to tick a 0 euros option for summer performance tire in the configurator. Also for the same exact car and rims (RS...

Just returned a ‘25 RWD loaner for my ‘23 GTS…some differences

Poorly rated on what aspect? Are you also referring to Asymmetric 5 as well? Can you share the US rating? In EU, they are better rated than Pirelli Also I reviewed multiple tests that suggest the same. Pirelli Goodyear

It is my turn, my MY23 Taycan is dead - Yellow "Electrical System Error"

Wow 5000 euros, that's huge. On my side it happened during the 2 years warranty (expired December 2024). But I still bought an extended 3 years warranty. Even though I did not use it yet, it is worth it for the peace of mind.
