Given Porsche supply them I guess they are the best route and will have stock in the UK. It will be cheaper to buy from MyTyres but that will add a week and then you have to pay to fit them whereas the Porsche price included fitting and a couple of coffees while I waited.
Just FYI I got a puncture in my winter tyre, same wheels as Frank's, Pirelli P Xero Winter Elect a week after getting them swapped on in early November. I was in central London on a Wednesday and pumped it up with the machine before heading home, it started dropping almost immediately so I rang...
My 4S CT has 11,700 miles in 11 months on 20" wheels and is showing an average of 2.7mi/kwh. That includes separate Winter and Summer tyres. Living on London kills it though, loads of short cold runs at 1-1.5mi/kwh. Generally charge to 80 or 90% and yesterday that would have been 222 miles at...
It's not and it doesn't impact insurance or warranty but they should work best with the car and that's a good reason to buy them. That said if there is a massive difference in price but they're still a well known brand I wouldn't worry too much but check reviews first.
Just go to any tyre site, put in your reg or your car and then it will give you tyre size options, tick the 21s and Winters and see what it offers. NF0 will be the Porsche Approved ones.
Also if buying off a Euro site like Pneus Online, which I find the best value for Winters, get them sent...
You can definitely take the risk but if you are stopped or if you have an accident I don't think your insurance will cover you as your car was not legal. If it is a serious crash you could be criminally liable. I have a set of Winters but accept they are expensive.
Why not buy a set of Winter...
I think it automatically puts Taycans in the wider trains when you book but as they're less regular I just drive onto whichever is available. If you have the surround camera then the front one lines you up perfectly in the middle of the narrow carriage and you won't scuff your wheels. Can't...
That's interesting information, thanks, I've been looking at Summer tyres that fit my 20" rims to replace the pair of Hankook SUV tyres I had fitted out of necessity after a puncture. Range has suffered badly since they went on the back and research shows them to be C rated for Rolling...
This is interesting as I had a puncture, nail in the tyre just as I merged onto the Lyon Paris motorway north of Lyon, managed to get to the layby at the peage 1km along and rang Porsche assist. They were helpful but only 112 can recover you from an autoroute.
Rang 112 and was on a truck in...
Do you have any photos of the Titan cover in situ please? The photos on their site are stock in a different car.
Also what colour did you try to match Mambo Green or Blackberry?
I just use the Porsche plastic boot cover with no flap as the rear is so low he just jumps in and out without...
From a thread on here, one of the CT owners works at a company that makes them https://www.guardsmandogguards.co.uk/product/porsche-taycan-cross-turismo-2021-onwards-dog-guard-part-no-g1619/
They can make them bespoke for cars with or without the holes in the ceiling, it’s excellent really...
Think your problem is with EA not the Taycan. Any road trip I do I get 240-250 on plug in and it gets to 260+ in a minute up to 50%. This is at Ionity, Fastned, Engie and Porsche dealers across UK, Ireland, France and Italy. Stepping up to 315 and 300 over 50% would be a significant advance...
316kw peak and 301kw at 51%! Also interesting to note the 2 photos suggest a 100+kwh battery, 7% increase equating to 8kwh, obviously there are some cooling losses from that but not much.
Wonder if there'll be an OTA update for those speeds? A battery upgrade scheme would be great too but I...
This is very interesting as we've been having the same discussions and wondered how effective it would be as our electricity usage is 20,000kwh+ (18,000 for the last 12 months but the Taycan has only been there since Xmas). The RSEV set up, EV dealer and YouTuber, while commercial, looks ideal...
This is a topic close to my heart, I hate SUVs but the interior cabin space is much, much larger than an estate. We had twins and once they got to 5 our C6 RS6 Avant wasn’t big enough. I’m 6’5” and in their car seats not to crush their knees meant mine were wedged against the dashboard to the...
I was wondering which tyres give the best range actually? I had to get a pair of Hankooks fitted at the back when I got a massive puncture on a French motorway one Friday afternoon in July. It was that or wait all weekend for Porsche Lyon to open. Anyway I sense the consumption isn't great...
Forgive me if I’m wrong and I’m not in the car to check but I’m almost certain there’s a tick box for IONITY only in the PCM on top of the only choose 270kw + chargers option.
My experience of long drives in France has shown so many new and different providers of 300kw chargers that the 270+ is...
If you go down the thread you can see the map spread which is impressive. 1,500 superchargers available to non Tesla owner.
Obviously you need the 150kw upgrade or you only get 50kw from them but if you do have it this is excellent news for road tripping.
You probably get arrested for running Waze in CH :CWL: . Don't speed in CH, ever, it just isn't worth it. A friend got done there at 165 in a 120 in the late 90s and got a criminal record. It meant he couldn't emigrate to Aus as planned. There was also the 3 months gross salary fine to pay.
