Yes, this is very clearly not a non-issue. Louv’s analysis is correct: odds are excellent Porsche will fix it quickly. Most of us won’t run into it. I am absolutely not worried about it. But it’s an actual real issue for the people it hits.

Fringe science aside, I too would like to see the back up camera in action. My guess is it’s just a fish eye view that people don’t like coupled with insufficient screen real estate. If Musk owned Porsche the back up camera would take over the whole center instrument panel for a panoramic view.

I highly doubt the Taycan is using capacitive sensors given the variety of steering wheel materials used. I’m not familiar with the Mercedes Benz, but if it has ‘ a point’ that measures pressure that sounds like a poor system. If all the points measure pressure, that’s excellent. But as was...
