  1. Adaptive cruise control?

Yes. Innodrive works much like Tesla autopilot. When it is engaged it tracks the lane you are in and the car in front and steers and brakes. There’s more to it than that, but that’s the basic function. Generally ACC doesn’t steer.
  2. Adaptive cruise control?

I got it. It’s as described. I love it. Works great. Very nice to relieve fatigue or let you find your sunglasses without crashing. To me it seems odd to get an electric car without the other fancy tech. But some people think it’s odd to get driving aids on a Porsche. I think it’s a...
  3. 2021 Taycan Changes & New Features — Official Announcement

Maybe. The chargers do seem finicky. I’d leave yourself a cushion if you can.
  4. Electrify America Poll

    Working for me.
  5. EA Fast Chargers Down

Facepalm because he asked you which app and you ignored him. No worries, but sometimes people get frustrated by general statements without data,
  6. All chargers down at EA HQ in Reston

You missed a few electrons in California too, Don. I haven’t road tripped yet, but I tried an EA station near home and charged just fine at good speed. 100% on locations so far. Since Dieselgate didn’t kill VW, I doubt EA growing pains will. Tesla has had a few bumps on its way to benchmark...
  7. Taycan fire in Florida garage

A hazard of the digital age: we care deeply about the business of people we’ll never meet and the internet just can’t keep up with our need to know. On the bright side: when a product is put out to thousands of people you find out pretty quickly if it kills a significant portion of them. No...
  8. Trunk Close

Sometimes my trunk stops halfway when I press the close and lock button. My guess is the car is having an issue reading my key in my pocket.
  9. DOLOMITE SILVER Taycan Club

Dolomite silver with xpel stealth PPF on Angeles Crest.
  10. Service activation and Connect issues

I too am now logged in. It took the help of an unknowledgeable but persistent employee (or maybe just fortuitous timing). For those curious: I set and cleared the privacy mode while logged in as a guest. No reason why that should have done it, but afterward I was able to login as myself.
  11. Guest Account - Driving Observations

That thread has talk of C4 and missile launchers, but I saw nothing about stevedores, transport workers, or dealer staff.
  12. PPF on wheels - bad?

I am also getting a full PPF wrap and the shop said doing the wheels was a bad idea for the reasons stated by the original poster. My wrap is xpel stealth and the shop said they could coat the wheels to make them matte. I chose not to do that to start as I can always add it.
  13. Unable to login with Porsche ID

I too was told that it doesn’t like long passwords and did that. But of course it didn’t work because the ‘login’ button is greyed out. I think some server problem is generating a variety of user experiences, all bad.
  14. Unable to login with Porsche ID

It’s definitely not just the app. My car won’t let me log in.
  15. Unable to login with Porsche ID

The problem continues and others have had it, as well as variations. Porsche is now officially acknowledging it but has no explanation or ETA on a fix.
  16. Do you use the power button or the park button & lock when you leave

I think so. It seems like it checks again for the key when you do that in the same way it will open the trunk to a foot kick even if the handles aren’t presented. But I’ll experiment more . :)
  17. Do you use the power button or the park button & lock when you leave

I always find that I can open the car just by reaching under the handle even when it does not present. For me I’ve never had to take the key out.
  18. No connectivity

I had the same problem. Same solution. I thought it might be an off shoot of my inability to link my car. They ARE taking a leaf From Tesla. When the Model S rolled out there were plenty of growing pains.
