I am monitoring this as well, but do not see how the DC charging is not going to go up at least where I live in Indiana with 83% of electricity produced from burning fossell fuels.
I do not see anything unusual and would not hesitate to purchase.
Dealer BMS reading indeed is a point in time and with recalibration, that you can do yourself at any time, can be improved as @Sace mentioned. Also, you can read SoH using an OBD reader on your own.
My view is 10 years minimum with capacity measured at service check points. There is nothing in the manual/journal that states a replacement for miles/years. I have not heard of anyone replacing one unless you kill it on your own by letting it go down too low as it locks up and must be replaced...
My fronts wear out similar to yours, so I just replaced my fronts at 15k miles, and my rears will last me up to 30k miles. I do not see any issue replacing front and then rear as they wear.
Really sorry to hear this, that clearly exposes the risk of having one damaged. First, get the settlement value first, second get a repair quote from several places that are Porsche collision certified.
I suspect the reason why it is totaled is because if the battery and/or cooling system has...
US Macan EV has Air Suspension as standard equipment, so PASM comes with it.
US Macan ICE comes with Steel Springs (no PASM), then you can option PASM, then you can option Air Suspension that will come with PASM.
@69Mach390, I happen to work for a US refinery and the people whose job is to worry about it telling me some different things. As a result, I just did educational sessions at my son's high school if they need to start considering EVs if these high prices are here to stay for a long time.
Give...
Loving this thread to have very positive Macan EV experiences with one on order for me.
I have been driving several on a full day test drives around town and out of town and was not really loving it as early examples did not handle very well but they were not optioned optimally (no RWS, no PTV+...
This will always be considered a road hazard and external influence event so no warranty would cover this. I agree that filing that against insurance is the correct route, which is what the insurance is for. The insurance will negotiate a much lower price.
Similar precedent we had on the forum...
What is the year of your Taycan? I think 2023/2024 models have higher perceived reliability to me. Moving to J1.2 version, I agree, is not going to solve your break down or regular maintenance satisfaction if the service center of your choice is terrible.
This is the sad report but rooted in reality with well known issues related to the Heater and Battery cells and if you do not have a responsive service center then you are out of luck. Your particular situation sounds like a no way out unless you can find another service center to take care of...
32C is not the target battery temp for charging when navigating to a DC charger. The car heats the battery much higher to 43C as you noted or even a little more, not sure why and wasting a lot of energy by doing so. Corporate own documentation states the top temp for most optimal DC charging for...
^ Everything above is correct, but let's get back to your use case, what are you trying to accomplish or what are you seeing is not working as expected, then we can let you know how to adjust settings for optimal charging conditions and what to look for such as battery temp when it is...
I get it, this is not apples to apples if you stating your Range under different temp and potentially wheel/tire differences, but this is corporate claim below. I know this is all marketing and measured in unrealistic WLTP (why EU does that, escapes me if it has 25%+ error vs. reality or more)...
Really helpful and comprehensive report for anyone trying to jump ship from a J1.1 to a J1.2.
I have only driven J1.2 for a day or two for my own to get to know it purposes, but a few things surprised me.
4S vs. GTS - This seems to be right on point and also what @prj recommends as a sweet...
