    Cayenne Vs Taycan

Speaking of corrected to Cayenne Turbo GT, The Rock was just stopped in one for overly tinted windows in LA. I do not love the wheels and strange that calipers look red, and he has those ugly orange side markers. These are a little dark...

    Cayenne Vs Taycan

I have a Cayenne with RWS, no PDCC, on 21 inch summer setup and it rides perfectly smooth. If you are having some type of loaner then you have to check the tires as they always overinflate them and for sure your ride will not be smooth if you have summer tires, on 22 inch wheels, and driving in...

found my perfect CPO except for being white instead of carrara white metallic - deal killer or no biggie?

Short answer - no biggie. I have owned, both colors, but not on a Taycan, and CWM was underwhelming. The regular white is a classic and I would wager is the Taycan launch color when it came out and was touring the world shows.

    Range Drop

@MidwestPCar, I recalibrate ever 5k miles but do not see this dramatic increase. Recalibration is helpful to detect bad cells as they come forward after that. Also, the trend of SoH increase after recalibration and then settle is expected.

    Range Drop

I go by SoC Display value as this is what the car reports. I assume SoC HR is a more accurate value as it may include internal buffer that is below 0% SoC Display.

    Range Drop

All looks good to me, @MidwestPCar, I am also at 86% SoH but my max usable Battery Energy calculates to about 75kWh and yours to 73kWh. You divide battery energy value of 48.95kWh by SoC Display of 66.57% to get to 73.53kWh when at 100% SoC. I do not think that is significant but the way you...

    2026 J1.2 - Can’t add innodrive after purchase anymore???

This is helpful and makes sense as they want to simplify and just let you pay one time to enable permanently. There may be a chance they will do it for J1.2 but so far given that even Macan EV cannot get Drive Assist enabled after purchase is not a good sign.

    2026 J1.2 - Can’t add innodrive after purchase anymore???

That makes logical sense but my sources told me that the original FoD idea was great and well received but the cost of managing it was more than it was worth it as Porsche is really bad at this or whoever they chose to manage it. We do have, now distant in time, successful FoD activation of ALK...

    2026 J1.2 - Can’t add innodrive after purchase anymore???

J1.1 had so called Function On Demand when you could upgrade ACC to InnoDrive and/or ALK. J1.2 Taycan and Macan EV are out of luck. 100% confirmed and one of the biggest regrets for anyone not ticking the Drive Assist (former InnoDrive) box.

@MidwestPCar, how's the CarScanner data points gathering going and posting for us to evaluate?

    How to use charging timers

My advice is to never let the car go below 25% at plug in time, then you will always get your charging in the Preferred Timing window. This is not like a gas car that is ok to go to empty and then fill up.

    How to use charging timers

The best I understand is that you have a need for Preferred Charging window to take advantage of the cheapest rates. There is no configuration, that you already know, to just tell the car to charge between time point A and B, because as soon as you plug the car in, it will charge to 25% as soon...

    How to use charging timers

We can go in circles here all day long. I recommend you tell us what you want to accomplish and I can tell you exactly how to set this up. After countless hours of research and trial and error, I can self-proclaim to have a PhD in the J1.1 charging logic.

    How to use charging timers

The OP is J1.1 and new to the car. My advice also is that the simplest way to charge is to just use the Profile, unless there is a reason to use a Timer for just in time charging to target. I used to like Timers and just got tired of them as it is a trickle charges the battery over a period of...

    How to use charging timers

These functions are not logical so we have so much content on the forum about it since pretty much all got confused on how to use them. I am going to try to make it simple. The Timer cannot be a one time event as you set it and showing it. Not logical, but that is how it is programmed to work...

    Range Drop

Lets get the CarScanner screens. They will show if something is going bad. Range drop even sudden would not scare me unless the CarScanner app data shows concerns as it is real data and not an estimate or calculated value.

    Range Drop

Looks like you have the OBD and able to measure SoH. You need to get us your cell graphs to see if any cells show drop on voltage and SoC vs. the rest. CarScanner app has these graphs under Dashboard views and also a screen that shows Battery Energy. I measure mine every 1k miles to look for...

This is why the Taycan rocks…

Significantly fast by how much, 5 minutes? at 20 min mark Friendly is at 66% and non Friendly at 80%, and that margin is even smaller if you start at higher than 10% SoC. For 5 minutes, is it worth cooking the battery and other components? Then as you start driving with baked 130F+ battery...

This is why the Taycan rocks…

Try it out and measure both with Friendly off vs. On. However, this is the real side by side test. I stand by my point, it is not worth the risk, case closed for me.

This is why the Taycan rocks…

This to me indicates that your battery friendly option might be turned on. Since without it being on, the battery reaches 130F+ like it is nothing.
