Like many, I ordered a Taycan without having seen one in-person or driven one. As inventory is starting to come back, there are finally some used Taycans at local dealers... and I had a chance to check it out. One word: wow! I'm now even more excited (if that's even possible) for my build to be...
Track Your Dream (TYD) has officially marked my build as complete and released for transport from the factory. The estimated dealer delivery date is April 4th.
I'm aware a lot can happen between now and then, particularly...
HV Heater supply chain issue - (unsurprisingly) no dealer contact...
If you're interested in another level of detail related to car washing... you might want to check out Obsessed Garage on YouTube. There's also an online store with all of the equipment they use... seems pretty well researched.
I think I understand where you're going by selecting the Taycan. I think there's fun to be had with a Porsche EV, while also having a 4-door sedan as a backup for the family. For example, I selected the rear 2+1 purely for 40/20/40 seat configuration... I've got defensive hockey and lacrosse...
I've got a car currently in build with PSCB's... started 2/28 and projected build completion 3/10. Certainly an unfortunate circumstance for you. Hoping the just-in-time manufacturing keeps mine going through the process (until I run into the heater supply issue at the port). I'll keep you...
The Wheels section in the configurator for a Taycan 4S has been broken for me for days. Any selection other than the 19” options simply defaults back to 19” Taycan S Aero wheels, even if you accept changes.
I thought the configurator is where you can dream :giggle:… and not necessarily tied to...
The manufacturing process has started for my car! It was originally estimated for 2/16, but became official as of 2/28. The subsequent dates remain the same... still targeting an April delivery (will have to start that thread or contribute to it in a couple weeks).
While the new TYD is...
I've definitely read several posts in this forum of the guess-o-meter displaying a reduced range after service. It's not clear to me all the factors involved... but hope your guess-o-meter starts to reflect the likely reality of similar actual range the more you drive.
To confirm, are you referring to driving range on the guess-o-meter or your actual driving range experience?
Reading many forum posts and watching way too many YouTube videos, I've understood that while a typical short-mile commuter Taycan may show limited range on the guess-o-meter (~215mi)...
I couldn't help it... my Taycan should have started production or will very soon, so I hit "complete order" for at least my clear side markers from Suncoast. There's a couple other accessories from them I've got my eye on as well. I justified the early purchase particularly since it was on sale...
No for me as well. I was deliberate in having an EV as my next vehicle. Really enjoyed the concept of the Mission E and the production release of the Taycan.
If both the Taycan and Panamera were ICE... I think for practicality, I'd be more interested in the Panamera, but really enjoy the...
Did you setup your my.porsche.com account with the same email address you provided to the dealer?
I had already registered my email on the Porsche website before officially submitting my order through the dealer. (I was saving a variety of configurations and reviewing / modifying them...
Good call on the 150kW booster... wonder if that's also creating constraints (optioned it as well). I presume the HV heater is also a culprit. Even though the messaging states at-port delays, I would imagine it's also impacting factory throughput.
Also, FWIW, while the new TYD on the web is...
Things are changing by the hour here! :CWL: The technical systems must be busy converting users/order over to the new TYD. The new TYD fully loads with my order!
Production start date listed as a day earlier than previously stated (now 2/16)... and I have VIN; however, my production completion...
Received an email early this morning about checking out TYD. Clicked on the email link... while the new TYD format loads, I get a "technical error" prior to showing any details about my order. Their systems should wait to send me an email, once the new TYD can successfully load my build...
I've definitely heard people like Nathan Merz, Porsche Club of America (PCA) member, reference detailed stats about a particular Porsche (older) model, year, sub-model, options selected, etc. Perhaps this was based on previously publicly released information that is no longer reported? Or access...
Beyond checking this forum, YouTube search "Taycan," and checking TYD on a daily basis... I'm going to have to add this activity to my list when I'm out and about the town! Thanks for the idea! ?
There was another thread about Porsche investor day (IIRC)... the Taycan was referred to as a "limousine." For as excited as I am to get a Taycan... I pay little attention to the marketing words chosen and think of it neither as a "sports car" nor "limousine." :)
