To little to late . The EA station I wanted to use yesterday had 4 chargers and 3 of the 4 were down for maintenance. I have never seen more than 2 of 4 working at this location. They need to fix the existing network to work better and not develop a few expensive show piece locations .
Recently had a BMW IX windshield replaced . Argued with insurance - Geico wanted me to go to Safelite but they ultimately accepted the $4700 price tag from the dealer . The BMW IX had a special insulated glass windshield - as do some Taycans like the Turbo and GTS or if you optioned it on...
I had Goodyear winter tires on my 2020 Taycan turbo with 20 inch Porsche winter wheels. I bought the winter wheel set directly from Porsche and they were fitted with the Goodyear winter tires. It was nice to have a separate set of wheels and tires so as not to damage the 21 inch rims. I was...
Personally , it depends on you. Rear axle steering is a must have for some and for others like me I could barely tell the difference .pano roof is great if you sit in the back seat . If.not it doesn’t make a big difference . Especially on a black car. I am not a fan of race Tex but you...
Luckily my 2023 GTS passed the dreaded Battery test. I believe the issue in the supply chain for Battery replacement is not the parts but the capability of the service staff. Taycan production has slowed due to an EV glut and so there is currently ample supply of Batteries. Replacing a high...
I have owned a 2020 turbo and now own a 2023 GTS sport turismo . If I were ordering a car - full leather is a must as I don’t like the race Tex trim or partial leather. I don’t think OLEO leather is any better than the regular leather - it’s really only an option if you want the leather color...
Extra performance was a plus but my decision was made at looking at the whole package itself. In the US in 2020 the turbo had many options as standard equipment on the turbo but optional on 4S and lower models. For example -full leather , alacantra headliner, matrix lighting, air suspension...
I owned a 2020 turbo and now own a 2023 GTS . Not much difference between the cars. PB plus in any Taycan is a must . RWS is nice but not a biggie . Turbo had it and GTS does not - don’t really miss it. I am a big fan of ACC in all cars but the LKA in Taycans is not very good so not a must...
Tesla is by far the best network and expanding rapidly . Tesla owners other don’t experience range anxiety. By contrast the EA experience is horrible and creates anxiety for fear of the frequently broken chargers and poor performance for the ones that do work. Unfortunately this is made...
The thing that no one has mentioned is the inflexibility of a lease . Typically if you decide to dispose of the car prior to lease end you will take a big hit because you typically pay all the interest on the lease. Not sure about Porsche specific lease.
I have had two Taycans both with 20 inch and 21 inch wheels - mission E wheels and spider wheels . Very little difference in normal mode. I feel The tire selection has more impact than the rim size or style . Ride is excellent for a sports car on either one. The guy who said the 20 inch...
GTS spec works well for those who want a lot of options that are standard on the GTS and optional on the 4S . If you want leather, alacantra, sport Crono , 18 way sport seats, 21 inch wheels , etc.. these and more are standard on the GTS and optional on the 4S . That’s why many reviewers...
I went from a 2020 turbo with 21 inch wheels to a 2023 GTS St. With 21 inch wheels. I am getting better range on the GTS - typically 240 miles . I love the ST as it is the most functional Taycan with the rear hatch and better headroom in rear seat. For everyday driving - Performance of...
I have owned a 2020 Taycan turbo with 21 inch wheels and now own a 2023 Taycan GTS with 21 inch wheels . I do not notice any difference in the suspension. I believe if the cars are spec’d similarly they will drive the same. Both cars have a comfortable ride that is sporty when you want...
Nogas - if you read my posts- I said I got tons of compliments on the lucid and acknowledged that it was superior to the Taycan in many ways - range , space functionality , comfort. but the car had too many things that didn’t work and couldn’t be fixed. I had an early build - my mistake- and...
White X - thank you for your exhaustive discussion on car depreciation and resale alternatives - my only point was dealers do not want expensive used EV’s right now and are building in large margins to protect themselves so selling it yourself may be a better alternative than in the past. For...
