This reeks of yet another EV hit piece. It's as if the article is blaming the method of propulsion for brake failure, as if this could never happen in an ICE car!
I'm just flabbergasted that the general public seem to have forgotten what the car market was like pre-pandemic. The last few years were an anomaly, it's just back to business as usual. New cars depreciate shocker...
Cars are not investments, just enjoy what you have.
I had the same problem a few weeks ago. First time experiencing it, then twice within a week!
Seems like you can’t do anything other than lock the car and return in 20 mins.
Far from ideal when you need to drive to the airport to catch a flight…
I don't know where in the US the OP lives, but surely you'll pass close to a rapid charger in a 160-mile round trip?
The trick with an EV is ABC - Always be charging. I keep mine at 80% whenever I'm home.
If there's an emergency and I need to be somewhere, I usually have enough charge to go via...
By posting such a man-maths laden thread, it already tells me that the car will be too much of a stretch.
Patience is the key, wait a little longer and buy the car you actually want, rather than compromise and not get the experience you deserve.
Just to add, he's right in that this is the state of the UK market currently (ICE and EVs).
What he doesn't mention (which shows the video's intentions), is that the Taycan Turbo S is still an excellent car, and there are some damn good bargains to be had, with lower risk since the lions share...
Saw this the other day, felt very contrived and sensationalist, pandering to the anti-EV crowd.
How can you be into cars at that level, own multiple exotics, covet a GT3 RS and not know about the current car climate? It doesn't add up.
All new cars, especially expensive luxury cars, will take a...
Porsche tune the GTS differently to the rest of the Taycan range. Stiffer anti-roll bars, spring rates, suspension setup (when in Sport / Sport Plus). All the tweaks and adjustments make the car feel sportier compared to other trims.
I don’t understand why this design decision wasn’t carried across to the Taycan II, it’s so much neater.
The only reason I didn’t option electric ports on my GTS was that silly fin!
The facelift looks nice. Lots of nips & tucks.
However, has anyone else noticed that they've made the new Mission-E wheels (subjectively) damn ugly? They look like the old lobster claw wheels!
Are you the kind of person who perpetually has low battery on their phone? ?
Leaving only a few miles of buffer is crazy, and doesn’t account for any hurdles or even margin of error. I wouldn’t be comfortable with less than 20 miles (pref 50 miles) of range buffer!
Granted, I might be a little ocd!
I doubt they’ll bring that much across to the older Taycan’s (even if they could), as they’ll want to try and make the ‘25 Taycan as compelling as possible.
I hope I’m wrong, though ?
Didn't realise it was dealer specific.
When we ordered, the wheel / tyre insurance was still available. When it came to delivery a year later, it had been withdrawn. Would have been a no-brainer otherwise!
