If it’s just a scuff (no dents or impressions), you could probably make it visually a lot better with a quick clean and some trim restorer (back to black.etc).
Totally, each to their own.
Personally, I like not worrying about stone chips.etc / keep the car looking better for longer. That's just me, not for the next man. The other benefit is that it is easier to clean. Most of the time I can use snow foam / pressure washer and the dirt just slides off...
That problem was using a car wash, not the PPF / Ceramic coat.
Whoever applied your ceramic coating should have given you a leaflet with how to care for it.
Even with handwashing you have to make sure your chosen brand isn't going to damage the ceramic, and it's still advisable to top it up...
Not sure I agree that the Purosangue looks like the Taycan CT.
OP should probably visit Specsavers ?
The design looks really nice imo. The only thing I can't get behind is the double logo at the front (same on the Roma). Really don't need the lower grill prancing horse! Admittedly I'm nitpicking.
I feel for you, but I don’t think it’s too surprising. If it’s highly spec’d, you take a blood bath on options, compounded by a glut of 4S’ coming off leases / flooding the market.
We have the passenger screen in our GTS as, personally, I think it completes the "look".
Other than aesthetics, it's not that useful. And you are correct, there is a seam between the PCM and the passenger screen.
The only reason to both with a screen protector would be if it was...
What's the logic for not plugging it in every day?
I don't do that many miles, but if I'm not using it, I keep it plugged in and at 85%.
It won't hurt battery health, and uses the same kWh regardless, so might as well have a decent charge in case life throws a curveball!
The UK public charging network is somewhat lacking (this topic is a whole thread in itself). Having said that, a Tesla would help mitigate some of the issues.
It's a holiday, why make it difficult? I would just rent an ICE car, don't want extra stress when travelling, especially with family in...
On a GTS it would be the difference between 517hp, boosted to 598hp.
You can definitely feel the difference, so I wouldn’t call the gain minimal.
0-60mph 0.2s gain in speed is almost the difference between an entire trim level! :)
I had a chat with my SA about this when dropped into the dealership last week. Totally makes sense, way more useful than launch control. I really hope they implement it via an update (the programmable button on the steering wheel, for example), or on the sport chrono toggle in the facelift update.
Spec looks good. I went with Carmine, looks great (thanks confirmation bias)!
I also went with the standard GTS interior, which is excellent, but I would recommend adding in red seatbelts and a red chrono clock face. Just that little splash of colour really helps lift the interior.
With a...
Why not both? The outlay is so minimal, hardly an inconvenience, and better safe than sorry.
Whenever I come home, I just place the key in the pouch and put it in its usual place out of sight.
Sounds pretty low, works out at only around 130 miles per charge.
Given the conditions and temperature, I would expect you to be getting at least 200 miles / 300 km per charge.
Is the car on the latest version of the software?
