I recently got my old car back from service and an MoT with the recall outstanding.
Just make sure they check the condition of the current hoses carefully if driving all that way for holiday.
I've come from a 4S CT on 20" wheels to a Turbo ST with 21" wheels + active ride. So there are a few differences between the cars putting active ride aside, (wheel size, lower ride ST vs CT, J1 vs J1.2 air suspension).
I've not hit 200miles yet so still figuring it out, these are my early...
funny you say that, I did want and expect turbonite on the alloys, the configurator is highly misleading, when you go in as turbo model the 21" aeros are shown in turbonite and when you go in as a 4 of 4S they are silver. In discussion with the dealer on this.
Pirellis lasted c. 10k miles on my CT 4S, will be interesting to see if the Hankooks last longer but a harder compound would help explain the extra noise. It is still a very quiet car, just not quite as quiet as my last one.
Picked up my new Taycan this week, ST Turbo, stepping up from a 2021 CT 4S.
First impressions in no particular order:
Fast, really, really fast
Leather really good, not quite as soft as Olea but still very nice
Turbonite accents on inside really nice, badge and key especially. On outside the...
I’ve paid a £30k deposit. I’m taking it on PCP, if the insurance becomes impossible, as it pretty much is, then there will be some interesting legal situations.
I’m committed to the car, cannot get out of it. £1k is reasonable, you’ve done well. I use mine for business so the higher mileage kills it but there will be fewer business purchasers based on these insurance costs. Not sure who will buy a Taycan going forward.
I’ve been caught out, my current 4s is a fraction of the price due to lower vehicle value (£50k) and a 3 years old policy. The fact Porsche won’t insure their own cars is a joke/worry for future sales.
good idea but value of the car prohibits gap insurance, most policies are capped at £100k, Ala appears highest at £125k. My car is just north of £150k.
I’ve been trying to arrange insurance for my incoming MY25 Turbo, beware, not even Porsche Insurance will offer cover due to the high performance, high repair costs and mileage over 8k per year. I pointed out the the irony of Porsche branded insurance refusing to insure new Porsche cars to no...
