I used the Aviemore station a couple of weeks, worked a treat. The chargers can only be activated by the Tesla App, so best to setup your profile and payment details in advance.
had 1st service this week and asked about the electric steering column, (UK) dealer still clueless. Have asked for compensation/refund of the associated £1440 option, will see what happens. Still only 1 key (after 11 months) , evidently the second keys sent don’t work.
Working well in the UK, on a recent trip Tesla Aviemore popped up. After some faffing to setup the app it charged fine at 130kW. Chargers nicely configured for non-Teslas.
I never get 265kW past 30%. Might be display glitch in the app, if it charged at 265kW from 6% to 60% it would have taken around 10mins so the last 26% to get to 86% took 16mins and was only at 80kW based on the total charge time of 26mins.
Nice observations, temperature change on a long trip has also caught me out before. Crawled up to my destination with 1% battery and all manner of warnings etc popping up.
I have 150kW DC-DC, it's a no brainer for the price.
I also have 22kW and would specifiy it again. Depends on your usage and your patience - I cover around 20k miles per year, drive fast and am impatient, key factors for me:
22kW chargers in work. I am often in and out of the office at short...
I've been waiting 9 months for the second key.... they did try to program one for me last month but were unable to get it to work, the wait continues.....
Nice review. My CT 4S makes the up and down shift noises with sport sound is on so he's not correct saying it is a GTS specific sound, suspect it may be more prominent in the GTS.
UK owner of CT 4S PB+ on 20" wheels. My strategy is to drive it like I stole it, arrive at Ionity with less than 30% SoC (lower the better) and charge fast at 260kW to achieve the quickest overall journey time on longer trips. I have free chargers at work so also enjoy proper Porsche driving...
