August 2021 and still waiting. Dealer has tried but failed to pair a second key, car going in later in January for the big software update so have my fingers crossed they can sort it.
My battery consistently ends up at 12-13 degrees when I set a departure timer over winter (i.e. now!), happens every morning regardless if plugged in or not. Cabin set to 21 and driver seat heating on.
Car was recovered by Porsche the following morning (unsafe to drive with the bubble), tyre was ordered, arrived sameday and was fitted. Alloy and suspension all OK. Good service by Porsche.
I've noticed this too, would be better if they made this an option within range mode . I'd prefer to have the best lights at night regardless of drive mode.
No regrets having the 20" wheels, hit a huge pothole on Thursday night, was surprised the alloy survived it however the tyre did not fare so well.
I do a lot of mileage so the extra range is helpful too.
Car dealers are as bad as each other in my expereince, it's a case of who is least bad. Unless you can find another car that you are happy with (not easy vs a Taycan GTS ST!) I'd keep your order in, others are clearly in the same boat and may cancel with the long wait (especially if/when the...
that's excellent mileage on the tyres, I was on the legal minimum wear bands at 20k kms, Pirellis from the factory. New tyres were only 7mm, rather than 8mm, seems to be a Porsche thing,
Resurrecting this old thread, my car did an OTA update on Monday morning, then lost my PCM settings, navigation lost all favourites and would not accept destinations. This morning navigation is working again with all favourites and previous destinations back however the range mode configuration...
2x new Ionity sites are under construction in Carlisle and Magor. Carlisle one will be helpful as the 4x stalls at Gretna are often busy now.
Agree the roll out feels really slow....
Suspect the battery did not pre-heat to enable fast charging due to 1) not thinking it would reach Ionity, 2) the low SoC. In these situations the car heats the battery only when connected to the charger but it then takes time to warm up and reach max charge speed. Like others say, some Ionity...
sad but true, I've owned a Porsche for a few years and generally their service and communication has been excellent, however, they have let themselves down on this. I did sign a disclaimer that stated the parts were missing but they would be retrofitted which I trusted would not take 11 months...
So after some complaining and nearly 1 year I finally received a letter from Porsche UK, no electric steering column will be retrofitted and £360 compensation will be paid instead. Still waiting on a second key........
