I have a new J1.2, went from J1 4s to J1.2 turbo so not a direct comparison with the turbo being more powerful but I get c. 30% more range, half from the bigger battery, half from efficiency improvements. Makes a big difference for me as a daily driver covering over +20k miles per year. The...
Scary situation, glad you are ok. Surprised at the fire in that location, maybe a dumb question, but were you carrying anything in the frunk that was flammable? Is the 12v battery located there?
Makes me think that with the noise insulting glass (really hard to break) there is no way to get...
I do a regular 280 mile trip, not super long, but quite hilly. In my J1 4S I would need a 15-20min charge (HPC), in my J1.2 Turbo I only need a couple mins, I could probably one shot it now driving sensibly.
Ionity is improving in the UK but at this recent stop somebody had cut the connectors off, probably for the copper o_O . Reading online 10 of 12 were cut a couple weeks ago, when I was there most were repaired, 4 remained without connectors.
20" are normally narrower tyres that make a positive difference to range and grip in snow/slush. The 20" taller tyre sidewalls have better comfort vs 21" but the Taycan is pretty comfortable on either.
20" will give a bit more protection vs kerbs, debris etc hidden under snow.
Glad you found it interesting, I cover about 22k miles per year so have become quite familiar with it all.
I use Waze on short/local trips, I agree it has the best guidance, traffic updates and importantly police warnings. On longer trips where charging is required I use Porsche satnav for the...
yes, the new 21" aero wheels with the Hankook tyres, I'm swapping to 20" with Michelin PS4s this week to assess the difference, noise level in particular
Positive thread alert!
Completed 2x, +500 mile, 1-day trips this week….
Charge planner much faster as widely reported.
Plug & charge is a joy, working seamlessly with Ionity. I had the 22kW charger on my previous Taycan so did not have this feature. Takes c. 30secs from connecting to charging...
I reported my issue of the window not moving and glass catching the door frame and was told it was ok to keep using while they awaited the parts, 2 weeks later I came down one morning to this....
Porsche assistance (the AA) came out and applied some plastic wrap and said it was safe to drive...
I had similar problem but on my front driver side widow, the electric window mechanism was the issue. Dealership said there was a known problem on the window actuators and it took them 8/9 weeks to get the parts to fix it and 2x attempts to set it up properly. They also had to replace the...
I had similar at local kwik-fit after a puncture, no lift could handle the weight, first car they've not been able to lift apparently, so they had to get the old trolley jack out.
