Sorry to read that, hope they do the right thing and compensate you but don't hold your breath.
Going to the dealer for 3hours every 60 days until they get the new software ready and installed is also a major pain, not as bad as 80% charge limit and parking away from buildings. What about...
I think the lightweight aspect of the J1.2 protection plate will be true but is a red herring on such a heavy car. My theory is that the plate has been changed because it has superior resistance to impact damage, specifically dents, vs the metal one on J1 cars. It seems to me the small dents...
Congrats on the new car, looks great.
Regen from braking takes a hew hundred km to start to allow the mechanical brakes to bed in, so consumption will be high until this activates. If you brake hard a lot you can shorten the kms it takes for regen to start.
If you don't have the Active Lane...
My J1 CT 4S did this, it preheated the battery to +13c exactly and every time in winter, from various cold temps -7 to +5c, whenever a departure timer and preheat was set -plugged in or not plugged in. When not plugged in (most of the time) it would use 2-4% of the SoC.
Not had a chance to...
So I tried the OBD2 connection with the TPMS device to read the cars TPMS data but it failed to read anything.
Call out the supplier for help!
A set of 4x 433mhz programmable sensors was supplied with the TPMS device, hoping they will work with the Taycan by cloning the current wheel sensor ID's
So I’m making some progress:
J1.2 sensors are not Bluetooth, they are 433mhz
J1.2 sensors are different part numbers to J1.
J1 = Huf 9A790727592 per this thread https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/tire-pressure-sensors-tpms-oem-and-aftermarket-resources.6343/#post-333538
J1.2 = Huf...
I had J1 20" wheels on my car for a short while and they fitted fine, pretty sure the bolts were 17mm.
Various wheelsets are the same J1 to J1.2 so would be odd to have the same designs but different bolt sizes.
Sounds suspicious to me, like when my dealer told me about the oil and spark plug...
That does not sounds good. I have ordered a Bartec TPMS device, similar to the Autel others have mentioned but it can program other manufacturer's sensors. Hoping it will get my J1 winters talking to the car. It could be the TPMS learning is different on J1.2, I was reading there are...
I've had the heating system servo and HV heater fail in my previous car (on different occasions). When the HV Heater failed the preheat function would also error "function not available at this time" , when the servo failed the preheat worked minus hot air.
My old car! Glad you like the condition, I looked after it :) Range is similar to what I achieved, mostly fast motorway. Vast majority of my charging was 22kW, have them across our factories. All recalls (and common failures) were done while I owned the car apart from the recent brake hoses...
GTS fits nicely into the performance gap between 4S and Turbo. Feels like it is out earlier than normal cycle, sign of the times to try and boost sales. Like the GT wheel option.
I did this immediately after the swap and before driving, the TPMS display went into pressure search mode as normal (blue spinning animations) but after a while it threw the error and now it is just stuck with error (and won't go back into pressure search mode, even changing wheel type in the...
So I fitted set of 20" GTS Aero wheels from a J1 car to my J1.2. The car is not recognising them and throwing a TPMS system error fault. Looking for help:
Do the sensors need coded, paired or similar to the car, forum search suggests not.
Are the sensors different on J1.2 vs J1, is there a...
current weather (central Scotland) I'm getting 270-290 miles, old taycan I got around 210-230 this time of year. Absolute numbers are impossible to compare driver to driver, J1.2 is c. 30% better range in my experience so far.
