I think it was "Inlays in High Gloss Black." It feels a bit hidden in the configurator but it's looks killer compared with the silver/aluminum finish-looking one, IMHO.
It's at "Steven's Creek Porsche" which is basically San Jose / Santa Clara Porsche, close to 280 about 5 miles South of Cupertino.
Interested if you find a good solution here. It's textured black plastic, and in my understanding that is not a good substrate for a durable and cosmetic automotive paint finish.
My Turbo CT just rolled off the truck, and the dealer sent me a pic! I was a little worried about the blue headlights that are a different blue from the body, but I think we’re getting away with it. Clear side marker already on order.
Oh, it's beautiful!
I will say with the suspension set to the top like that, you really get the CrossTrek effect on this white color due to the contrast with the wheel arches! (No offense meant... it's a reality I will also face, even in Neptune Blue.)
I think it's a funny irony, honestly. They put this plastic on and call it "cross" turismo to try to get some sales in the US market, but then the "sport turismo" GTS one comes without the ugly plastic and all us enthusiasts are like "oh no that's the one I actually wanted!!"
Personally, for...
That's because it's not a station wagon because it has that plastic stuff around the wheels that no one likes but still makes us buy it. Surprised you didn't know that ;-)
I would respectfully disagree, and I think they made a poor call. I was expecting something cool about the car and instead I got a skateboarder and a bunch of camera angles seemingly orchestrated to look right up her butt from below. Man or woman, the focus is too much on the person and body...
My TYD just updated to "en route to dealership," which is the Porsche Steven's Creek in my case. The SA texted me to say I can pick it up on Tuesday morning, but he will check in on Monday incase there are any hiccups with the diagnostics and pre-delivery check. I got the VIN, and I'm calling to...
The purist’s choice- nice! I am getting Cross Turismo Turbo in Neptune Blue (the dad’s choice!) It’d be fun to get a drive together with the Glovis Supreme voyagers in the Bay Area once we all get our Taycans. Alice’s to Pescadero or something of the sort.
You know, you're right, mine also says "actual date of completion." And I agree, TYD is pretty crappy right now, but the concept is good. They clearly launched it before it was ready!
Yes, it is definitely ironic to see these things move so slowly when they are so wicked fast under their own power!
The Glovis Supreme got to Benicia on the 30th, so that is actually when port processing started, not when it completed. My TYD still says it’s processing as well.
Apparently they...
Did you try, and did they fit? I am looking for a good solution for the cross bars on my 2022 CT... I have no silver/chrome on the outside of the car so looking for something that comes in black!
For what it's worth, my dealer tried to talk me out of this this option, saying that the black really shows fingerprints. Since that's a part of the outside of the car that's constantly being touched, it kind of made sense. But, I still got them along with Neptune Blue, because it looks...
Mine unloaded from the Glovis Supreme @ Benicia just switched to "port processing" this morning. Dealer in San Jose still expecting to be able to deliver the car to me "some time this week." Tick tock!
