So did I understand correctly that you traded your car in in Germany, bought a new one and imported that to Estonia?
Maybe that is the way to try here in France as well because the dealers have zero interest in any kind of trade:
”We have too many used Taycans in stock”
I do not think my...
DM sent.
Thanks for all your hard work to help us with this.
My Porsche dealer blankly refused to give me any detailed information about updates implemented. Their excuse was that they have a backlog of information to enter in the system! Even 2 weeks after the service and updates!
I am so...
I agree with a lot of this, especially the driving dynamics. Steering, brakes, blending of brakes and road holding. I have also tried very many new EV’s, but not found anything that drives as well as the Taycan.
For the build quality though, I do not hold Porsche as anything special. Many...
Very impressed the app.
This app places the Porsche developer in the dark. This makes sense and can give some insights, compared to Porsche data dump.
Keep up the good work. Well done
I think there are more reasons, than just the antics of Elon Musk. His outburst on X and tone deaf to his Grok, is likely the main reason.
Secondly the models they are selling now are a bit long in the tooth. They have improved the quality, suspensions etc a lot compare to the initial releases...
I have fitted Pirelli PZero winter tyres, NF0, Elect I think they were called. The ones that Porsche recommended t the time. I have the Continental ones nd not the Nordic type. Works very well for me and performed great in winter driving in Norway with lots of snow and ice
From experience you should not compare network coverage between the UK and other countries.
Speaking from own experience the networks in the UK are likely the worst ones of west Europe. Especially 4G and 5G. And that is along major A roads! Countryside it gets even worse
That is not the first time.
I had the first heater broken in 2021, but subsequent ones have been replaced as a precaution? And the last two have been updated, revised, improved versions! Maybe the outside colour was improved?
Winter preparation:
1. Fill antifreeze in washer fluid
2. Fit winter...
I am amazed at the difference in transparency for Porsche service in the US and here in France.
Even if I would ask to get any invoice or worksheet from my service guys, for a warranty claim or any recall action, it is not forthcoming?
There is just a one liner on the service sheet saying...
My car had its 6 years service last week. And a lot of reprogramming of 12 volt system plus navigation update and PCM update to 3885. Of course the car had no records of any faults despite just having had a disconnected 12 volt battery and some other issues. In a recall I also received my 6th...
It is in the app.
First choose your destination!
Very nice hotel by the way!
Then look for the Charging in this picture
Then set your desired SoCat charging stops as well as at the destination and find the prefer chrhe point operators.
Then just select the operators you would like...
Normally the app’s destination will be the only thing that is transmitted to the car.
However if you plan the route in the app you have the possibility to
1. Decide the charging networks you want in the app, say Ionity.
2. You can then lock in each one of these charging stops, and they should...
That is interesting that your car will preheat to typically 35C, while my car always has preheated to 40-41C?? Normal driving temperature is 30-31C and then extra heat before charging.
My car has earlier behave like that, whether outside temperature has been up to 38C or as low as minus 15C...
Perhaps but that was not the case for me. The first time that I noticed the issue was when, ironically, I was navigating to an out of town Porsche Centre to get the update installed! This was while on holiday in Sweden and I had received the letter from Porsche, due to my car not being able to...
I think you are mixing up PIRM and the normal charge planner. PIRM is not needed for normal roadtripping and charge planning. It is an extra option that you can get on top of the standard planner. I do not have it and did try a car with it in the beginning, but found it more of trouble than any...
I guess that is different for every dealer. Porsche have recommended a Lithium charger to be connected to the 12 volt battery if stying still for a longer time.
My car has just had its 6 year service, including PSCB pad changes and the service guys have installed a separate cable that I can...
You are reading things incorrect if you compare the price at Ionity. Ionity are part of the preferred partners, heck VW group are part owners. So your Ionity price will be 39 p per kWh at a monthly cost of 13.99.
It all depends of the amount of kWh’s you charge per month away from possible home...
Interesting find.
I am not sure anyone else has experienced the change out of the Porsche design and branded HPC units at Porsche dealers. When I left my car for updates (large ones) heater change ( 5th one) and 6 year service yesterday, I noted the chargers had been replaced. Now there were...
Why were the first charging stops within 30 minutes. Did you not charge the car the night before or during the night with AC.
I f you set the destination and have enough SoC setting off, the Charge Planner should not choose a charging stop after 30 minutes! I have done many trips with up to...
