If true… "The coming EV batteries will sweep away fossil fuel transport, with or without net zero"

Yeah this is it. It’s a heavy car for sure, but overstated when you look at competitive stats. To be fair too: the new Prius is a nice looking car!

If true… "The coming EV batteries will sweep away fossil fuel transport, with or without net zero"

I hope we do manage to drop weight in batteries significantly. But as above a lot of the weight - in modern cars in general, not just EV’s…is in the strengthening. A lot of journo’s talk about the Taycan as if it’s an absolute beast, but how much heavier is it than the Panamera? 200kgs? Now this...

    Lotus Type 133 Saloon info

I think it’s interesting and having driven a few, albeit much much lighter, Lotus’s I think it could be a car with excellent drive-ability. The best handling car I’ve driven properly was an S2 Exige. It seems like Lotus have got their interior quality up now too. With Geely’s expertise as well...

Taycan Turbo vs Audi E-Tron S Prestige

I agree. Had some on an S3 (that I didn’t choose but got a massive discount on, long story), and I ended up hating the look and of course: never ever using them 100% with this comment. I absolutely hate the SUV fastbacks. A BMW X6 being a particularly pet hate of mine ? I get the E-torn as a...

I get a lot of gawps when I’m around town in mine. Had a lad cycle into a telegraph pole yesterday as he looked behind him at my car. Luckily, he just about managed to stay on the bike ?

Porsche Says One-Pedal Driving In EVs Isn't Efficient

I have to post this today: a Turbo ST on winters at below 7°C, with traffic and some right foot at times as well as a lot of short journeys. Had to do a decent length journey today, so I charged to 95%. The journey proved that the guess-o-meter was pretty damn accurate. Not bad! Happy with the...

    Foggy rear camera

I’ve fed back to Porsche on the rear camera. Every little helps, right However, I’d say that your camera is faulty and needs repair. Much have loose housing somewhere. The rear camera isn’t perfect, but it’s a lot better than that.

    To boot (trunk) or not.

I have winters on mine. Can I ask why you're fitting yours right now? I was almost wishing I had my summers on this weekend, they're scheduled to go back on mid-March. I can't see those wheels fitting without significantly squashing trim pieces, the ST/CT are so much more practical.

    Type 2 Cable

I used mine yesterday for the first time! Harry Potter Studio Tour and I trickle (dribble more like!), charged it there because why not. The home charger EVSE I've never taken out of the bag! I checked through my emails and yes, my SA confirmed it was standard on MY23

    Type 2 Cable

Nasty! And my memory serves me that maybe I had it specified in my original config. OP: is yours an MY22 or 23?

Porsche Says One-Pedal Driving In EVs Isn't Efficient

But it isn't coasting. Coasting is just so effective on anything other than uphill. On the flat the car stays at the same speed for a long period of time, something it would never do with regen on Great work and exactly! It's those very slight hills or flat sections where coasting really makes...

    black "keys"?

If you have activated PVTS+ then they need to not be in the car and not to be kept on a keyring with your keys. You need one of them them with you on all journeys, but not in the car if you are not using it.

Porsche Says One-Pedal Driving In EVs Isn't Efficient

I've been testing this on mine and I've found that coasting is far far more efficient than the recuperation mode, especially if you are also aware that you just need to touch the brakes when going downhill to get a bit of recup and slow down slightly, whilst still maintaining good progress
