SUV’s are more resilient to curbs and pot holes and steep driveway ramps.
people have become accustomed to not having to pay attention or stress over these things.
I was hoping for a few PCM OTA’s to fix some stability issues. No PCM version updates have come. But…I have had a few ancillary updates (calendar x 2, battery) and the PCM is now stable.
I have 3 sets of winter tires for all my cars because I live in a snowy area. That said, for winter dry-road driving, all-seasons might be a better fit.
Of course in the snow winter tires are better.
Would be better if they could move the pop up window to a different location.
The trouble with using the diamond buton(s) as some have suggested is that it pops up the homelink window (and blocks the camera screen) if you have more than one opener programmed.
You are correct it’s an awful arrangement for anyone who needs to back out of a garage.
my workaround (thanks to some folks on this forum) is this.
Program only one door into the pcm. I had two and had to delete the second door opener.
With only one homelink device programmed you can...
The PCM in my car has become far more stable in the past few months. It used to crash once per week. It’s been two months since the last crash. There have been zero PCM updates, so the improved stability isn’t from a PCM update.
But, there was a calendar update about two months ago, and...
The same surging happens to me. It has been happening both before and after the high voltage CU update.
On my Taycan this happens in the midrange of the charge. I don’t have exact numbers, but low state of charge is normal as is high. I have noticed it in the 40-65% range. I have video.
This doesn’t sound right. Give it a few more days/weeks and see if it was just a one time event. The car will stay at the same level as it is when it is shut off. There are a few exceptions. If you turn off it the car in gravel mode, it will restart in Normal. The ride height will revert to...
My statement of 199 being at the upper limit was based on a longer road trip. In winter, it’s a double-edged sword: short trips use far more energy for the first 10-20 minutes of driving as it attempts brings the battery up to temperature and heat the cabin. It takes me 5% to do my 4 mile round...
I’ve had a 4CT through one winter. My experiences are that 199 miles is at the upper end of the range limit in winter. This is at 25F and on 20” winter Aero wheels.
When I say upper limit, I mean you may have 180-199 of range depending on some of the factors mentioned by others.
It’s not...
I’ve done quite a few laps in my 997. It’s a blast, just pay attention to the other cars around you. It’s easy for amateur drivers to get focused on what’s in front of them and forget about the overtaking traffic behind them; which can lead to bad surprises. Remember, most doing tourist laps...
Mine activates for 60 minutes every time. I don’t think it can be changed. This method works every time for me.
The other method you mentioned of leaving the car on, doesn’t work, because the car like to turn itself off when locked and the key is away from the car. There is a thread on...
The key fob method that works for me is: press to lock, wait 1 second, then press to lock again. It’s not a double click like on a computer mouse.
The second press has to occur within 3 seconds according to the manual. What is left out of the manual is that the second press cannot be immediate….
I’ve had great luck with TireRack for TPMS sensors. I’ve purchased two separate sets over the years and they’ve been OEM Huff Intelisense sensors that did NOT require programming. I think Huff merged with another company, so the newer sensors may have slightly different branding…
