You can drive like this, we have for multiple days at a time. The rim/tire has more clearance in every direction, and the circumference is close enough it doesn't set off traction control errors from the slight difference.
I'm out right now, but I'll run the numbers for 19" and 20" on a wheel...
This is exactly what I do as a "spare" situation. I have an extra front mission E wheel with tire sitting in the garage, when when my wife gets a flat, it goes on either front or rear until we can get a new tire mounted.
The fronts are ET60, which means they sit 6mm further out then the rears...
Data point, we have a 2020 4S with all the performance stuff and PSCB's. We are at 32k miles, and it was in to the dealer last week for a non-related fix and they checked the brakes. Almost no wear on the pads.
So a 15k change was most likely either someone read the CPO task-list wrong and...
The part numbers are
9J1601025AA
9J1601025AB
It looks like one of your pics shows "...25AB" on an 11.5" rear, which is the correct part number. So they have a good chance of being legit. I haven't heard of fakes actually having the same part numbers printed. Most are 19 or 20" fakes.
FYI, the front 21" wheels also work fine in the rear position on the Taycan as far as clearances and offsets.
I mention this because I bought a spare front wheel and added a tire and keep it in the garage.
Far easier to grab it and a floor jack and an electric impact when there's a blow-out...
As the owner of a 2020 with almost 30k miles on it so far, I'm completely happy with having that model year. The only two issues we had were the heater failures, and the mis-alignment of the spoiler cover in freezing weather.
If you're not familiar, dissimilar composites would...
The above are the proper steps, make sure the other key is far far away, and test switching back and forth a few times.
I've set this up twice and the car has lost the linkage to the key within 2-5 days and stopped switching profiles and seat settings. I've given up and now just have my seat...
lol, if you think that's complex you should see AMG's system for management of the parameters using their steering wheel controls and how you can configure them however you want
The system is not "hands free" it's more like "keep your hands on the wheel and relax to just instinctual driving inputs" as the best way to describe it. Let your hands put mild steering inputs in as you would if actually lane keeping, and it'll keep the system happy. They don't have to be...
Lots of people say they charge to 85% (or some other percentage) on trips. I've found it's often a lot faster to do shorter more frequent stops where you only charge while the rate is above 180kw and move on when the charge rate starts to drop. Plug in, start at 250kw plus, and then use 180kw...
Exactly, the 1-2 times a year we have a really fast turn around where there's a limited amount of time and more range is needed then 9-11kw for a few hours can can provide, we just hit a DC fast charger for 5-7 minutes and problem solved.
I can't believe they "ruined" the Mission E's. (The wife immediately veto'd getting them on our next Taycan after seeing just the above picture)
As to the person asking if they'd work with the CC brakes, the configurator does allow a Turbo S with CC brakes to have these "Mission E(rrors)" as...
It is interesting to see the hate spewed towards people like Kyle. When I do get annoyed with his format, length, or selection of subject for his videos I just remind myself that it's his business and livelihood, and he's working the youtube algorithms to make income. If it's that annoying I...
Continuing the discussion about front end design, what I found interesting is that in Gen 1, the only way to get the body colored pieces on the lower front splitter area was to get a Turbo model, even with the sport design package they were still all black.
It now looks like the sport design...
For a minute I thought it was one of the BC forged designs, but there isn't one that matches the angular dishing in the center cap area. Closest I found was:
BC Forged KL11 but is has a smoother profile near the center bore.
I think there's a safety feature where if the car isn't in drive or reverse, you can push the button once and it will move fully to the new position. But if in a drive mode, you have to push and hold for safety reasons so you can quickly release the button and stop the motion if it's affecting...
