New hardware was added in MY 2021 to enable plug and charge. I looked into this before moving forward with a 2020 CPO purchase, and there wasn’t a viable path available to retrofit P&C to a ‘20. Didn’t matter to us as we’ll mainly be charging at home.
I just bought a 2020 also. The key is to get the car registered in your name and showing up in the my Porsche app. I bought through a Porsche dealer so they did it on the back end, but you could also go through the “add a vehicle” steps with Porsche.

The light strip is just that, a light strip. You won’t see it change state while braking. It’s only lit when the lights are on.
So yes, all Taycans no matter the “Porsche” trim selected have it, and it’s visibility is tied to the headlight/lighting status of the car.
You do not need to touch the fob when locking. It stays in your purse or pocket. You just touch a finger to the door handle sensor to lock with comfort access.

1. No plug and charge. This matters more in the US for the slight inconvenience that only the primary my Porsche account can initiate free charging, so my wife has to log into my account to kick it off at an EA station...
