I think the system adjusts the max speed briefly when it recalculates the route. At least that what seemed to be causing it on a road trip I took. You can turn off the option that lets the system limit the speed in range mode. It’s somewhere in the drive mode options.

Just curious - have you tried both options/views on the back up camera? I get that Panorama mode is for seeing around vehicles when backing out of a parking spot, etc. and agree it’s very distorted. The regular parking view isn’t bad imo, but maybe it’s just what I am used to from other vehicles.
