I tried this today (gripping the wheel with one hand at 10 o'clock, without providing any resistance) and it seems to eliminate the nagging. I hope that's correct! Was anyone else able to try this?
It can be closed manually, if you don’t mind the handprints all over the back. My kids know that if you close my trunk, you are required to use the button. :)
The standard 4S brakes have plenty of stopping power. They are actually pretty incredible for a vehicle of this weight. I have not been to a track yet. But last week, I was driving down a windy canyon road and behind me saw a Ferrari (that weighs half as much) come up in the rearview mirror...
Please let me know what you think after you test it. And whether you find any tricks or tips that make it easier to use. Might even be worth a new thread.
You can set your speed initially, at whatever you like, like a regular old cruise control. Then if you have the ACC or Innodrive options, the vehicle will also slow to maintain a safe distance from a vehicle in front of you. If that is all the functionality you need, the cruise control works...
I find Innodrive to be very disappointing. The primary feature that is missing is being able to set the automatic speed adjustment to a certain amount over the detected speed limit, say 5 or 10 mph over. Without that feature, its barely usable. For example, when I'm doing 75 in a 65, and the...
Chargers 3 and 4 have not been working for the last two weeks. Is quite disappointing. People were waiting to use one of the two functioning chargers. Hoping this lack of maintenance is only due to part supply or something and will return to normal in a post-Corona world.
At 6'6", I was very worried about this too, even held onto a fairly new A6, thinking it might remain the DD.
The A6 has not moved since having my 4S for a month and nearly 2,000 miles, and it may not move until my son gets his license in a couple years. But I would say that like many vehicles...
Lots of good info here.
You should have no problems getting 216 miles off a full charge. In my 4S, range mode with spirited driving, most of it at 80-90 mph, I was able to get 300+ miles on a full charge.
I’m having a ton of trouble too. Another option you could consider is call EA and ask them to start a free charge. This has worked for me at both the Golden and Frisco chargers when none of my Porsche or EA apps would let me start a charge. Had my issue for two weeks and supposedly someone is...
Has anybody figured out how to activate alarm notifications? (Some kind of instant notification like text message or app??) The MyPorsche website indicates this is possible. But I can’t figure it out. After setting off the alarm, I can log in to MyPorsche and see the tIme of the alarm, so...
I had the same experience as you. Popped my spacers off with a knife and glued them to the top of the light. It appears to me the instructions above had spacers on the bottom of the light (or maybe one on the bottom and one on the top) Mine both seemed to be on the top. But when I put the...
Mine has the same sticker (never noticed until seeing your post). But it charges at 40 amps perfectly fine. I don't think a NEMA 14-50 receptacle would ever have anything less than a 50 amp service....so my guess is that you and I have the incorrect sticker.
@K-S , !
That was very helpful. After being unable to find the lightning bolt, I removed and reinstalled Connect as well. Looks like we are back in business.
Funny, today while I was fiddling around with the charger and talking to tech support, a photographer contracting with EA came out to...
Has anybody had any trouble setting up the Charging America app? I have a subscription (free) and am logged in to my account. My Porsche and Porsche Connect both recognize my vehicle, but the Charging America app does not. In fact it seems like there is no vehicle associated with my account and...
Just use your regular account but change this option:
Go to Settings > Accounts, select your account, and choose ‘Login without security code’, and ‘Automatic login’ and see if that does the trick.
Yes!!!!
I’m going into sign paperwork next week to make delivery as easy as possible once it gets trucked up from Houston, clear mask and ceramic coat. Hopefully can get the charger then too. I need to hang hooks to keep the charging cord off the garage floor. But I’m guessing the charger is...
Did your vehicle come with Comfort Access? I always thought that was standard in the US. At least it was standard in my original build sheet...but so was wireless CarPlay.
I agree with you Glenn. You would think that in times like this, one of the top priorities would be to reach out to customers, particularly those with open orders, and explain the situation and expectations. (Most other business did this in some way.)
The sales team is supposed to be your...
