Here are some links and info on tax and utility incentives available in the US. This is not tax advice. But I will make any helpful corrections or clarifications if anyone is more familiar with these or others. Thanks to @Minnesotan @LonePalmBJ @KensingtonPark A checklist of incentives...
Has anybody looked into whether the cost to install a new circuit and charger at hone qualify under the Federal 30% tax credit? Maybe even the cost of the original mobile charger connect would qualify.
I am also hoping to be able to drive from Denver to Vegas this summer.
That’s a good tip. Moab is pretty far out of the way, especially for a 50 kw charger (driving + charging = approx extra two hours on an otherwise eleven hour trip).
EA’s website shows a site on the map below, which may not...
Two weeks ago, I heard that the EPA release date was 4/10. I presume it cannot be sold before that date, but uncertain.
Strange that is consistent with your schedule.
Yes, my 4S is delayed too. Was supposed to enter production 1/24, now expected 2/7. Completion date, if I remember correctly, slipped from 2/14 to early March.
Looks like the shipping lines to US ports run roughly every three weeks, so I slipped onto the next ship. I think mine said delivery...
An update for anyone else who was worried about this same issue. My dealer knows I have been worried about this and was very nice to call as soon as the demo car arrived. As a result, I was lucky enough to drive a Turbo S today, and wow...but that is another thread.
At 6’6” and an average...
No certain, but I think its actually a bit longer, depending on your actual circuit. Most equipment only uses 80% of a circuits capacity. In the US, your common 110/120 volt circuits are 15 and 20 amps. At 80%, the chargers would use either 12 or 16 amps. Multiplied by the voltage, the...
I’m looking forward to the three years of free charging, but plan to mostly charge at home.
A couple things I noticed about the current EA pricing in the US:
- Charging at the max rate from 5% to 80% is about the same cost per mile as gasoline.
- The price charged is based on the max charge rate...
Correct. It will pull 40 amps on a 50 amp circuit. (240 volts x 40 amps = 9.6 kW). Make sure you have the NEMA 14-50 receptacle. That is the standard plug for the Mobile Charger Connect in the US.
